  1. Loose cattle are surprisingly common here in Fort Worth, aka Cowtown. There is a major facility that hosts various livestock events and competitions and occasionally one escapes. Also, this is pretty common near the venue:
  2. I also remember when he twisted his ankle at an impossible angle and it looked like he'd be out for a long time but he returned next game. So hopefully this won't be a very long stint on IR.
  3. I'm going to guess it's a shoulder injury. Shoulders are wonky and can be very painful but still functional. Possibly also ribs or back. The fact that he immediately left the game after the hit, then returned for one shift tells me it wasn't a concussion. He probably thought he could tough it out but after the power play shift decided that he couldn't play through it.
  4. The Sabres are gassed at this point. If they were going to climb back in, it had to be in the 2nd period.
  5. fify 😉 Moving six miles is not exactly getting out of the city. It's a pretty dense area.
  6. Pretty close to what I predicted in the Cozens thread: Just swapped Benson for Skinner in the Top Six. I think that makes the Mitts line the #1 line.
  7. He's been around long enough that it's hard to remember he's still a baby. Two words: Pipe. Line. There are more centers coming and it's entirely possible one of them will be better in a center role than Cuzzy.
  8. If you're talking black and red theme, I'm with ya, but if they want to wear the white pajamas with blue and gold, no thanks. Do they used those for location tracking?
  9. While the Sabres may not get that many odd man rushes, they do get their fair share of fast break rushes (like the one that resulted in Okposo's goal against AZ. Really all the Sabres' Dmen are pretty astute in making long (across both blue lines) breakout passes.
  10. Don't forget how young Cozens is- he's only 22 versus Mitts who is 25. I wouldn't write off Cozens as a gifted center just yet. Casey had his struggles and his learning curve, and is still working to improve. The fact that he is 3 years further along in development doesn't mean his ceiling is any higher than Dylan's. If you're right, he's still a pretty good placeholder until a center emerges from Rochester.
  11. Kane is actually doing... well, not so bad, all things considered. The real point is that he isn't enough to help Detroit right now, whereas Robinson is helping the Sabres.
  12. It was indicating my disagreement with a position that I nevertheless respect. He's been stoned from the top of the crease several times during this drought. He just needs to get a bounce or two.
  13. I understand your position, I just view things differently. I can even say I respect your position, but it's not a view that I share.
