That's typical for a battery these days (for a non-hybrid).
I got the battery replaced on my wife's Escape this summer (one month after the warrant expired naturally). O'Reilly says they replace batteries but I'm not sure they knew what they were getting into when they did the Escape. The battery is up against the firewall, beneath the cowl, which had to be removed, which meant pulling the windshield wipers. Not actually that hard of a job but significantly more involved that undoing the battery clamp and dropping a new one in.
I then remembered that the reason we went to the repair shop last time is O'Reilly said it wasn't a simple replacement and they couldn't do it for free. But they did this time.
