I wouldn't say I'm anti-anthem, but I don't really see it as necessary. But if you're going to do it, do it right. Sing the notes on the paper, not your personal jazzed up version. I'm also not a fan of the field-sized flags they use at football games, as they go against US Flag Code prohibition of displaying the flag horizontally. I'm kind of pedantic in that if you're going to do patriotism, do it right.

They brought that on themselves. They got booed at one of the games and came back and won it. Tuch said the fans were right to boo and it motivated the team to play harder. Ever since then the fans have been effusive with their boos when the Sabres are flat (which is often). Careful what you wish for, Alex, it might come true.

As was stated up thread, I never see it anyway as an expat who watches the games on ESPN+. This is such a non-issue to me. I think most fans also don't notice because they're already on their way to the exits.

It also occurs to me that for how much everyone has been clamoring for a net-front presence from our boys, to have a goal scored from in tight and not being able to tell who scored it because there were two Sabres banging away at the puck is.... refreshing.
