The Sabres will make the playoffs if: They win out I win the Powerball Jackpot Matt Ellis gets eaten by a shark Rob Ray gets a hole-in-one next time he golfs. If any of those events fail to occur, the Sabres playoff chances are toast.

I saw a local theater production of Children of a Lesser God tonight. All those actors playing deaf characters were deaf themselves. It was a very intense performance. I probably would not have have heard of the performance except that my wife had worked with the female lead when she was a sign language teacher at the school where my wife teaches.

Girgensons Is No Longer An NHL Level Player ?

And he's leading the team in goals scored since this thread was started. -
Yeah, I'm not saying Bryson is a guy you build a defense around, but he's really not a liability, at least not as much as he's been in the past. He plays smarter and is more defensively sound, but he's never really going to be an NHL regular I don't think. And as amazing as it is, the Sabres have played at a pace of 134 points per 82 games with him in the lineup.

They did. It didn't. I was really down Bryson earlier this year but he's been valuable depth. I'm not sure he's a long term NHLer but he's nice to have on the bench and play 20-40 games a year.

Often that's because he pushes up into the O-zone without linemates. He's got nowhere to go so he drives the net through four defenders. It's weird but it happens frequently.

The only reason the Sabres won the last two games is they were playing a couple of the few teams that the Sabres are actually ahead of in the standings and didn't mess it up. Montreal especially plays like we do: Sloppy and mistake-prone, with no heart. Columbus at least showed some hustle but despite their speed couldn't string enough passes together to be a threat. Now if they manage to beat Carolina I'll be impressed and surprised. Let's see what they can do.

Unfortunately, I have an Old Dawg, and I can see him slipping a little every day. He's almost 14, which for a big-ish dog is getting up there.
