  1. The NHL called. They want their award back.
  2. His rooting interests are the Vancouver Canucks, Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars. However he's mentioned several times that he sees a kinship between the Sabres and Canucks since they were in the same expansion class.
  3. The Hockey Guy has the Sabres in the top half of the league... biggest rise in his rankings this week (cued up to the spot where he discusses the Sabres).
  4. Sabres power play: First 8 games was 0 for 22. Last 7 games, 7/24 (29%) The Cozens line is waking up. Tage is reverting to 2022-23 Tage. UPL getting his swagger back. After the 0-3 start, they're 7-4-1, a 102 point pace over the last 12 games. It's a long season and there will be ups and downs, but Sabres look like they're figuring it out.
  5. Enough. What? You can't enjoy a win?
  6. I'm gonna blame that on Dahlin who was checking a Flame a the side of the net but also blocking UPL's view and path to the puck.
  7. Well shoot. Had no idea it was an early game. Durp.
  8. Opportunity knocking.
  9. The Hockey Guy is all in (cued up to the Sabres-Rangers review)
  10. The Rangers were 8-2-1 heading into the game against the Sabres. There were remarks during the game though, I think by Rayzor, that another team that beat them in regulation was the Caps and the Sabres followed their game plan- don't give the Rangers time to use their skill. Harry them at ever opportunity. It worked. Some teams can look great but against certain styles of play just suck.
  11. I'm sorry I disappointed you, daddy.
  12. I'm fragile, okay? I've bought in too many times just to have my hopes dashed upon the rocks.
  13. In the waning minutes Clifton laid out to block a shot then desperately cleared it down the ice with his glove. They never stopped playing.
  14. Strangely, the highlights were pretty much how the whole game went. The Sabres stymied everything the Rangers tried to do and were successful what they did. There weren't that many hits because the Sabres were never far from their marks. It was more shoves and shoulders and bumps than hits, and there were plenty.
  15. One more... but just go read the comments for yourself.
  16. I laughed harder than I should have at this tweet in that thread Another good one
  17. From the Ottawa GDT: Now let's see them do that against a playoff caliber team. I didn't think Ottawa looked particularly impressive. Okay, so now they've done it to a playoff caliber team. Do this consistently and I will be impressed.
  18. No I don't think so. They had enough goals I think they were playing for defense at the end. Tuch play on the PK but not so much Tage.
  19. Well he called Krebs, the penalized player, playing the puck, so there is that.
