Red Wings looking dangerous in the Sabres zone but not getting too many pucks to the net: the Buffalo defensive coverage keeping them mostly to the outside and tying players up in the slot. When the Sabres get to the other end they try to get shots on goal right away.

After the Detroit goal the Sabres tightened up their coverage to good effect.
