  1. If so, that's not on the Sabres. If Jost is a better player than Sheahan, the Sabres improved their team by claiming him. Assuming that means Sheahan is the worse player, why would the Sabres want to keep him. And if he's not good enough to stay on an NHL roster, who's fault is that? Not the Sabres' fault, that's for sure.
  2. It's a business. He isn't good enough to play in the NHL anymore. The organization is more than willing to pay him to play in the AHL. This isn't the Sabres choice, it's his choice since he chose not to report to Rochester. It's simply a business transaction to sever ties with him which is what he wants; he likely has a contract lined up elsewhere (Europe?). I don't see why this would reflect poorly on the Sabres.
  3. I just started. Mixed myself a pretty strong godfather. So I'll agree: We got this!
  4. They're blowing icing before it even crosses the line....
  5. I have to wonder if NJ can skate that hard for three periods.
  6. They said the Sabres have to go east and west to negate NJ pressure but really it seemed like the Sabres did best int he O zone moving low to high and back low.
  7. How was that not offsides?
  8. 5-0 shots on goal already
  9. Why do all our anthem singer start yodeling at the end of the Star Spangle Banner? She had the pipes to sing it straight up; what's the point of jazzing it up?
  10. We had a very low key Thanksgiving. We had six of us: me, my wife, our two sons, our daughter-in-law and my son's best friend (whose family is Jehovah Witness and don't celebrate holidays... he's had a standing invitation from us for years). Basic turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, veggies, etc. Oddly, no pie this year, but three wonderful cheesecakes: chocolate marble, apple strudel and dragonfruit. My wife did virtually the cooking except for the gravy. I do the gravy every year. She was up early cooking. I'm up late cleaning. Just loaded the third and final load into the dishwasher and cleaned the countertops and now it's time for bed.
  11. It is 8 pm per the ESPN+ app (showing 7 pm and I'm CT). There are a lot of games tomorrow; I think they are just spreading them out.
  12. Oh come on. Have some fun. I like both calls.
  13. Maybe it's been too long since you've seen an exceptional goalie in Sabres colors.
  14. That was pretty awesome. Thanks for posting.
  15. If that was Tage it would have been a dribbler that got in but took it's sweet time. Quinn fired it in from a lousy angle with authority. He doesn't know how to take it easy. I keep thinking about that.
  16. It's because Cozens has (by far) more NHL experience.
  17. I think what the Sabres end up with is Line 1 and 1a.
  18. I made my prediction (which I didn't really believe myself at the time) after the move to center. When we got him? Ugh.
