  1. Good to see Kozak out there.
  2. Quinn all over the scoresheet tonight, innit?
  3. I looked and didn't see it posted, but per Lance on BlueSky: Lance Lysowski ‪@llysowski.bsky.social‬ Sabres are going 11-7 in Ottawa: Zucker-Cozens-Thompson Peterka-McLeod-Tuch Benson-Krebs-Quinn Lafferty-Kozak Dahlin-Byram Power-Clifton Bryson-Jokiharju Gilbert UPL in goal
  4. Half an inch of slush. We will rebuild.
  5. I wish. I was just saying to my son: Today is the very definition of wintry mix. Switching from rain to snow every few minutes, temp varying between 32 and 33 degrees. North of us is getting real snow, we're just getting this crap.
  6. Well since we're having Snowmageddon in north Texas today and I'm not going anywhere, might as well watch, I guess.
  7. Terry is definitely not the right decider. I'm agnostic on Kevyn. I'm not sure he's the one. I think his tenure has been a mixed bag: Some good, some bad. I'm not sure all the bad can be blamed on him. How did Tage go from 47 goals in a season to meh? Is that on Kevyn? I mean, you know, stuff like that.
  8. True, but at least he's got a nominal "hockey guy" in the room. Jones thinks he's an actual "football guy." And I'm not sure how much of Kevyn's tenure is Pegula's meddling versus Kevyn's "plan" and sticking to it.
  9. To carry the football analogy further.... Terry Pegula : Buffalo Sabres :: Jerry Jones : Dallas Cowboys. Neither team will get anywhere under current ownership (although I think the Sabres have at least a chance because Terry isn't actually the GM).
  10. Good. I like the dude. And unlike other prospects, he's had a couple of seasons in the A for development.
  11. The Sabres are one 13-game losing streak out of a playoff spot. That's all.
  12. I would say Zucker is the right kind of player for that. We don't have enough Zuckers.
  13. One Fractured Buffalo.
  14. Thursday will be our severe weather day here in north Texas. Forecasts have called for anywhere from 3" to 8" of snow, possibly with freezing rain to start. How much rain, ice and snow we will get keeps fluctuating with each model run. Currently Weather.com says during the first part of the day it will only be below freezing from 7-9 am Thursday, but during that time we will get freezing rain. It's supposed to then change over to snow but the temps will be above freezing. Then later in the evening, back down to 26. Sounds pretty miserable. My hope is that by Friday afternoon it all melts.
  15. @Spoonman laughed at this statement, but say for the sake of argument that instead of 0-10-3 over that stretch, they went 5-5-3. They'd have 10 more points and be tied with the Bruins for the final divisional spot and ahead of both WC teams.
  16. The Sabres are basically one 13-game losing streak out of the playoffs.
