They can plan just fine. Assume he's not going to be part of the Sabres org going forward. There. Done. If they make a trade for a 4D, how would the presence (or not) of Johnson affect that?

I was with you until the last sentence.

The one with the bigger paycheck: Bad team with immediate opening. Are you saying you're regular now? So the fiber is working, eh?

The Arizona Coyotes Arena Referendum fails to pass
Doohickie replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I thought the old stadium was 123% nicer than the new one. The new one is butt ugly, but it does have a roof which is necessary when it's 108°F out. -
I would say the pandemic affected how people think about work. People will work fine, but the pandemic opened a lot of eyes in terms of who really makes a lot of industries run and how little they get paid. When you realize how much money Elon Musk or Uncle Starbuck are making from your efforts, compared to what you yourself make, it affects how one thinks and talks about work.

That was sarcasm.

I mean he was only a 7th round pick so he should feel fortunate he made the squad at all. Right?

Savoie meets his new linemates -
We do 10ish. Slightly more if you know how to work the system. Yeah, 3 strikes could be legit caught something and it doesn't want to go away. Especially with Covid, if you're not sure, stay home. Where I work the policy at one time was that there wasn't a published amount allowed for sick time/personal time. One year, my wife needed surgery, which I cleared with my boss ahead of time, plus I got legit sick (flu) twice in the same year. I took 80 hours of time. The next year during my annual appraisal, my boss noted it. I told him the two illnesses had doctor's notes and the other was cleared with him ahead of time. He said that's fine, but don't think you can do that every year. You might not get fired for it, but if there are layoffs it could be a possible discriminator. Now they say it's just straight 40 hours, no questions asked. Most people don't use it. I nibble it a bit but didn't use most of it last year.

It would be good to get him into a game to let him see what he can expect. As far as what I expect from him, it would be kind of like what JJ and Quinn produced for the Sabres. Maybe an early hot flash but mostly just trying to hold his own out there. -
Unfathomable? More like, logical. Of course we would have a playoff drought with that lot.

My dislike for Eichel has zero to do with the surgery to be honest. And I think he was on his way out (as far as Adams was concerned) before that issue came up. Kevyn understood the locker room dynamics and knew Eichel was not the guy to build a team around.

Extended the floor into the corner this weekend. Also "extended" the drywall. When the house was built the drywall didn't... quite... make it to the bottom plate which made the baseboard trim problematic... the bottom kept slipping under the end of the drywall. So I cut off the original drywall at the trim line and replaced it with drywall that goes all the way to the floor. At the seam between the old and new I put wood backers and screwed both pieces of drywall to them so lots of beef to attach the molding to.

Can he play? Or just practicing? -
I dunno. Levi was just coming off the NCAA playoffs. He might have lit on fire. That's my rationalization and I'm sticking to it. Perfect summary of this past Sabres season.

I still don't see those as Kevyn's moves. Yes he made the trades but I put those on Krueger (with Pegula's blessing). This I can agree with though.

Kyle Dubas not returning as Toronto Maple Leafs GM
Doohickie replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Good point. I was thinking of a new player to be brought in, but Kevyn did that already this year. And I agree with Mitts- he's had to grow his game to be relevant, and he's done just that. -
It is by playing better teams that a developing team improves.
