Yeah... the two championships I cited were great, but as you say they were both adopted teams. Not the same as a Buffalo championship.

I've lived in Fort Worth much longer than I lived in Buffalo, actually, and since Buffalo doesn't have an MLB team and has switched farm club allegiances between Pittsburgh, Cleveland, the Mets and Toronto, I feel no special allegiance to any of those teams. I liked the Dodgers when we lived in L.A., the Tigers when we lived in Detroit, and for 30+ years the Rangers have been my team here.

I'd been away from NHL hockey for a decade before moving to Detroit in 1991; moved to Texas in 1997 two weeks after the Red Wings won their first Cup in 42 years. I was really plugged into that team. Enjoyed the Texas Rangers World Series Championship in 2023.

The Sabres are winning this game. Mark it.

Yes, it doesn't take much poking around in the genre to find out about that album.

What got me into it was a YouTube video from a guy named Adam Neely who discusses music. He did one about "The Girl from Ipanema" and as these things happen, he hired a singer to sing the song in different keys, etc., and it was the girl in the video I posted above. I think she's got a perfect bosanova voice. And all that "happiest of all sad" stuff... even if you don't understand the words you can catch a case of nostalgia just from the sound of the music. It's very emotive I think.
