Anyway, I watch a lot of his videos. During the season he literally previews and reviews every single game, and watches as much action from as many games as he can. And he puts out other material (such as a retrospective of Craig Anderson's career last year) during the season. Shanon has no special access to information, just what a normal fan sees, and it's interesting to me to see his takes on the Sabres versus what you hear in the echo chamber of the fan base.

I'm just sayin' the team is over NHL .500 with him in the net, which isn't bad for a backup. Fancystats be damned.

And for the UPL doubters: He was clearly inconsistent and streaky last year, but the Sabres *did* earn points at a 89 point/82 game clip when he got the decision. Not quite playoff caliber, but if he's #2, that's not bad. If he's with the big team on Day One and doesn't miss much time due to injury there's reason to believe he will be at least that good if not better.

Not sure how Levi, who only played 7 games, is "same goaltending".

Really? Wow. They should put a team in Batavia. Draw from the locals, plus Ra cha cha and Bflo.

I think Kevyn does in fact have a plan and I wouldn't get too warped until we see what the opening night roster looks like. An alternative view: If Levi and UPL both hit this year we'll be set in goal for a while at a team-friendly cap share. Is there risk involved? Of course. But the reward could be worth it.

EXACTLY. Kevyn is not going to pay an arm and a leg for a one year rental, and he doesn't want to give Helle a max term extension. So many people think that this is fantasy sports where you can just arbitrarily put a team together with whatever players you want. Real life doesn't work that way.

I assume you tried Breathe Right strips? They help me. Don't totally eliminate the snoring but reduces it to the point where my wife no longer speaks of divorce.
