  1. Oof. You had one job. Yeah, in Dallas they yell out STARS in the Star Spangled Banner.
  2. Ha. I fixed it before I read this 😄
  3. I have one for Rosen but I'm not sure I like it. Haven't done a Kulich yet. Whichever one gets here first I guess I'll use this.
  4. On a more personal level: Thirty-Three Speakeasy Grill on Genesee Street. When I was growing up it was Roma Italian Restaurant; my first job was washing dishes/short order cook there. Speakeasy has a video header on their website; where they show the kitchen it looks pretty much the same as when I worked there; I think I've used those same ovens to cook pizza.
  5. This thread is primarily for the Buffalo diaspora, or possibly some of the younger people who missed out on things because they weren't aware yet. What are things associated with Buffalo that you missed out on? I'm thinking of Buffalo things/traditions that I grew up in Cheektowaga, and left for college in 1980. I came home the first two summers but haven't lived there since. So there are a lot of things I missed out on. The general revitalization of Buffalo Metro Rail Canalside (I've spent an afternoon or two there, but as a tourist) KeyBank Center (never been to a game there!) Buffalo Bandits Original Pizza Logs Paula's Donu Sponge candy Chiavetta's BBQ Chicken I'm sure there are others (and I reserve the right to add to the list), but what about the rest of you? What are Buffalo things that weren't yet things when you left Buffalo, things you missed out on?
  6. I think I'm good for the current roster, maybe the next callup.
  7. I root for different teams for different sports because the Sabres, for instance, don't play football. Basically I root for the home teams: My hometown teams: Bills, Sabres Teams from my current home: Texas Rangers, Mavericks (although I'm a bandwagon Mavs fan; only watch them when they're good because I'm not a big basketball fan), TCU for college since I live 3 miles from campus but I'm not a huge college fan Teams from my current home, friends with benefits* edition: Cowboys, Stars Teams from cities where I've lived... mildly in their corner but not all that much: Dodgers, Tigers, Red Wings Lacrosse is kind of an odd situation... I don't really follow it but every year I say I'm going to start. At this point I would probably follow Panther City Football Club (Fort Worth) since it's the only "major" league pro team Fort Worth has. But I rooted for the Bandits last year. The thing about the Bandits is they weren't there when I lived in Buffalo. I went away to college in 1980 and never lived there full time since (just a couple summers during college). *Friends with benefits team = I'll spend an evening with them, but there's no emotional attachment and definitely root for Buffalo over them
  8. Well, join the thread then. We'll keep you abreast of all the shots and stuff.
  9. Nope. NHLN usually just goes with a local crew (so far it's been Dan & Rayzer) Minorly woozy.
  10. It may be too early to draw the conclusion. Last year when we were upset about how loosy-goosy they were defensively, Donny G. said they were focusing on offense. Now they're focusing on defense. If at some point (SOON I hope) Donny Meatballs might turn on both hemispheres so to speak to get a balanced attack. I hope. SOON.
  11. I know. That's just not right.
  12. I like the white unis with the white helmets.
  13. Jack White is really good at music. That's the post.
  14. Ah, so it's even worse than I thought.
  15. Like I keep saying: The beginning of the end was 13 Seconds (and how McClappy reacted to it).
  16. Anyone miss Boosh? No need to.
  17. It's all good. I liked him too; I have a Reino jersey.
  18. You have no sense of style. Owen is a trend setter.
  19. It could have been something as simple as an elderly relative who was not doing well but they wanted to better assess the situation before Krebs actually flew out or something. I've been going through that with my father-in-law for about a year now.
