Sorry, but this should have been the expectation for the 2023-2024 season (which they failed miserably to achieve). We also know that a team can have a good start and then fall short when it counts. The staff should be fired immediately after the last game and use the summer to instead get the team and new coaching staff aligned.

Sorry, but this is professional sports, not a social charity or some other "feel good" situation. Adam's has had enough time to construct a more balanced roster, but he hasn't. He is responsible for the ridiculous 3 goalie situation. He is the one who jumped the gun to sign multiple guys to 7 year deals based on a 1 year performance. He is the one who extended Don Granato when there was never a chance of Granato leaving for another team. He is the one who has his head in the sand as far as recognizing the team needs more grit to compete. He is the one who has not fixed the hopeless power play. There is more, but I'd hardly say whatever positive things he's done does not outweigh the overall failure of his team to succeed. It's professional sports....get it done or you're out....no matter how nice a guy you are.

What proof is there that he is a good NHL head coach?!?! I don't see any indication of a history of winning teams....and YES, he is too coddling...to the point of the detriment of his team.

The key here is that Pegula went with young, less established guys that he could easily CONTROL. Pegula ended up not liking GMTM's style and then GMJBOT walked because the meddlesome owner became "cheap" JBOT parted ways abruptly. GMKA was an easy hire because he had no experience whatsoever....easy to control again.

My cynical view is that HCDG has two more years under contract that Pegula won't pay for nothing....so that's maybe $4 million (?) of incentive that Pegula will consider to NOT fire HCDG. To be clear, I really want him fired.....YESTERDAY!!!

The culture in Buffalo is so bad that McDavid, McKinnon and Matthews could be added to the roster and they would end up looking like Krebs, Jost and VO in just a few games.

Also to give UPL a break....maybe prevent injury to him as well.
