Adams is simply not GM material. His interactions with the media are such that he tries to come across as a nice guy who doesn’t exert any authority or confidence. He’s like a kid trying to get along with everybody vs. being a strong and stern adult. He needs to show a more mature and frankly mean disposition to be taken seriously.

Feels more likely to me that Skinner is going to be back. GMKA didn’t trade the 14OA pick and he still needs players.

I was skeptical already, but am even more convinced that Buffalo does nothing to improve the team immediately this weekend. They’ll tease us that they will focus on free agents, but nobody wants to come to Buffalo.

The only way they can make the right decision is to do the OPPOSITE of what they think the right decision is. There’s an old Seinfeld episode where George did this.

Somebody please send to Pegula and Adams pictures of these guys holding the cup......ROR, Eichel, Sam, Oki, Evan, Kuli, Montour, etc. Whatever they think the right thing to do is....please do the exact opposite as it is clear they have no idea how to build a cup contending team.

Did Karmanos go somewhere? I thought it was Forton who wanted Darcy to draft Zadorov, which ended up happening. He thought Zadorov would make the Sabres harder to play against....which IMHO he had a point.

Unfortunately, I almost expect 3 of those 5 names to be back on new deals (Girgs, Joker and Bryson). Not at all what I want, but I don’t trust Pegula and Adams.

Joker getting extended at $4 million AAV is about as pleasant as swallowing my own vomit. Maybe we can trade him to the CBJ and get Alex Nylander back (ducking my head now) 😁

IDK - Savoie, Rosen and Kulich are not guaranteed to crack our roster this year and may never be top 6 players. I don’t think their games translate well for playoff hockey either. Joker can be replaced for a different type of defender, which the Sabres need. I’d love to have Cirelli and Jeannot on the Sabres roster. Girgs is a good guy, but it is best for him and the Sabres to part ways.
