Doesn’t look good for sure. Then again, I recall a Sabres game a while back where Jeff Skinner looked like he hurt his knee and I feared he would be out for a while….but to my surprise he came back that same game. I’ve learned not to trust my ability to judge injuries.

Hate the “rotational” approach….leave it to the Sabres to take something simple and make it complex. What’s next to come, the return of the 3 goalie rotation?

I love the new vet line…very hard working and business like…I hope they stay together. -

Johnny Gaudreau and Brother Matthew Killed by Drunk Driver
Carmel Corn replied to aristocrat's topic in The Aud Club
Incredibly sad news. Killed by a drunk driver.....disgusting. https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/nhl-player-johnny-gaudreau-brother-matt-gaudreau-killed-by-suspected-drunk-driver-in-nj-police-say/3956186/ -
GMKA likes to shop at Kohl's when they have 50% off their clearance merchandise.....but backed off when he found out Zadina was an exclusion. Seriously though, you're right....and we remain unconvinced he's going to do anything else to improve the team.
-
GMKA's denial of this need is sickening. I also cannot get past the notion that injuries will also hamper our existing "Top 6" goal scoring.
-
More changes still needed. Top 6 and a better/grittier RHD stay at home type to finish the off-season. Kreb’s and Joki can still be used as trade bait (along with picks and prospects).

Judging the off-season: turning over the bottom six
Carmel Corn replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I like the bottom “3” additions along with McLeod. The concern I have is who in our bottom 6 can jump up to the top 6 when Quinn or TT gets hurt again? I know Benson or Zucker are possibilities to play top 6 or flex up, but who else? -
Lindy is better choice than Meatballs, but I would have preferred a true outsider coming in and bringing his own choices for assistants. The Sabres needed to jettison ALL of their previous coaching staff.

Casey’s new contract is $5.75, not 7.0 mill
-
If this is still reasonably accurate, then $4.75 per year is roughly 20th in the league as far as AAV. Seems reasonable to me for a 25 year old with his prime years ahead. https://frontofficesports.com/the-25-highest-paid-nhl-goaltenders/

I don't doubt that he's a good guy, but IMHO his play by play is really bad. Just try following the on-ice play without benefit of a television (i.e. radio only - good luck with that). The Sabres organization is content with mediocrity, whether it is the media (DD, no SOG counter, etc.) and also the national anthem singers....they're all pretty mediocre at best....and often worse than that.

On the topic of our need for a top-6 upgrade

I like Karri, but 5 more years is too long for a player of his age.
