I know we're now up 4-0, but the PP is still a hot mess

Once upon a time, so-called scorers in a slump would do other things to elevate their game until their offense got back on track. Some might increase their physical play and/or defend more to bring another element to the team. Unfortunately, I don’t see Quinn doing much of anything to show something different, other than to be invisible and ineffective…..in other words a liability.

I want to see more players added who have a genuine “mean streak” that is hardwired into their psyche. You can’t necessarily teach this and some players develop some of this over time (ex. Dahlin). I want players who don’t hesitate to initiate hits and immediately retaliate for a teammate. I’m not talking goons, but rather players who run to the conflict vs. shy away from it.

No chance….too many deficiencies that GMKA has not addressed. He’s not up to the task and his adopted father Terry won’t do the right thing to correct the situation.

I agree that they miss him. What is a shame is that his absence makes that much of a difference. He’s not a superstar, but he can still bring an element that is so desperately lacking on this team….which is really sad. Once again, a POORLY constructed team that has no backfill for his style of play.

Poor drafting strategy….select players who play with energy who are already hard wired to be aggressive. I’ve had enough with so-called talented, but soft and lazy types. Fans will support a team with more Benson type players, even if they don’t always win.

The Sabres SUCK disease permeates the entire organization, including their own television media (Dunleavy and Ray) AND the local media who covers them. I wish the local media would act like New York and castigate the team like they deserve for 13 years of sucktitude.

The list of what they lack is simply too long. What do they have enough of? Laziness, excuses and a losing attitude

He can’t give them Hell…..they’ll cry and suck their thumbs.

Trade EVERYBODY except Benson

The only way he can save the season is if he QUIT his job….otherwise, he is incapable of making any hockey moves to achieve this.

Perhaps, but I prefer my defensemen to play DEFENSE first….which they don’t do very well IMHO

If Buffalo continues to take the night off, then Lindy needs to get their a$$e$ back to Buffalo tonight and make the boys shovel snow at Highmark stadium all night. Benson can watch from the press box sipping a hot chocolate.

Perhaps, but I would argue that Cozens is worse and possibly Power as well. Power forgets that he’s paid to play defense. Finally, is Dahlin really worth $11 million?!?!

GMKA and Lindy "could" send a strong message by stripping all the so-called leaders of their letters. As another poster said, leadership has to be earned from this point going forward.

Part of me wishes the rest of the conference was playing better such that Buffalo would already be further away from a playoff spot. Being "close" to a playoff position makes them feel too comfortable with losing these kinds of games.....after all, they're close and they will figure it out without playing the desperate hockey they actually need to be right now.

Benson should be named captain

I'm still skeptical his job is actually at risk. Heck, even if there is a change, he may end up getting a promotion

That's great if he was a PGA golfer.....unfortunately this is a man's game, not Pee-wee. AND...it's now 2-0 with Power again on the ice.
