  1. I think Quinn was a complete failure it multiple ways last season. He will also never be a guy you want in your foxhole if a scrum ensues on the ice. That said, I think he has more hockey IQ than JJP and that the organization is counting on him for more goals (to make up for JJP's departure). I sure as hell don't know what to expect from him next season, but I do expect to see him on the roster. In GMKA's mind, Quinn's price tag will still be cheap enough.
  2. I hope this is true...a team that doesn't have each other's back is a bad stink that haunts this franchise like no other.
  3. I don't want Muel either, but my guess is that he is still the "plan" as far as Dahlin's partner. Byrum hopefully gets moved for a top 6 forward. Muel stays because GMKA basically denied a buyout is happening and nobody will otherwise trade for his contract. That said, I hope somehow Muel gets a lobotomy and starts playing with more grit and jam.
  4. Something that is below the radar to me is Bertnard-Docker. I'd like to see a bigger sample of him....as I didn't hate what little I saw last season. He should still be cheap as an RFA. I won't be surprised to see Clifton gone at the deadline (if not before).
  5. Or maybe Kulich on wing, which is where I think he actually belongs. Go get another center and move Kulich to wing.
  6. Impressive....most impressive!
  7. i can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'm not hating this trade. If both players are a better fit for a more physical and defensive game, then I've been wanting more of these types of players. If Kesselring can play with Power and be the partner he's been lacking thus far, then great....it also makes for a stronger right side D corps overall. If Doan can bring more physicality than others that Adams missed on, then I like it. More moves can be made to replace JJP's goal production, plus who knows....maybe Quinn might actually show up this year. Use the money saved on JJP's deal to go after another center, either by trade or I would like to see them go after Tavares.
  8. Actually neither. Pegula has embraced the “virtual” concept. We have a virtual AGM who lives in Pittsburgh, a virtual senior Advisor who lives in Ohio and a virtual special advisor who lives wherever (Carolina?). At this rate, Pegula going to have a virtual coaching staff, virtual players and a virtual arena.
  9. Well, at least part of the time he's talking to Terry EVERYDAY! 🙃
  10. Maybe another trade down year (like 2024). They only have a certain number of players worth drafting at 9 and they won’t be there. GMKA won’t find a trade partner to get a good NHL’er for #9, so instead he’ll settle for more picks. Hoping I’m wrong.
  11. Bill B. always has a game face. GMKA only has a clown face. He jokes and laughs like this is a summer little league job.
  12. I’m getting tired of being served his nothing burgers.
  13. IMHO - losing Tuch would be a PR nightmare for this team. He’s the main piece in return for the Eichel trade. Flipping him for picks and/or prospects won’t sit well with fans or sell tickets. Maybe more importantly, losing a guy from NY who wanted to actually be here….but no longer stays by choice is such a damming indictment of the $hitshow this franchise has become.
  14. Perhaps, but my thing is not necessarily getting the “Best” player in a trade, but rather the “Right” player. IMHO - this team still needs different types of players (ex. Stay at home defender, tougher forwards who have some offensive skill who will have teammates backs, etc.). These aren’t necessarily “Best” players from a talent standpoint, but could fill important needs and not have NMC’s.
  15. He has all the leverage. I'll go with 5 x $9MM and hope he says yes. Remember Skinner was already making $9MM with his last Sabre contract. Tuch is much more important than Skinner.
  16. I have a bad feeling that the answer is going to be Bernard-Docker....that's the best Mr. Incompetent GMKA can do.
  17. Somebody wake up GMKA and tell him it's June please!
  18. This is a "stink" that the franchise will never be rid of (kind of like the bad odor in Jerry Seinfeld's car). Whether it's Drury, Ryan Miller or Tage Thompson....this team never has the toughness or will to have each other's backs.
  19. For me…..Alex Tuch signing an extension.
  20. If that ever happens, that team would be dead to me. I might actually hope they achieve an even more incredible level of incompetency....if that is even possible.
  21. How about goalie? (just kidding)
  22. Quite simply, Buffalo may have to take on a bad contract in return to get rid of Muel
  23. Agree....maybe a different choice of words vs. "better" (IMHO I would be inclined to use "Different"). An example of different might be a top 4 shutdown RHD could be a win for this organization. Another win might be a package that nets a true 1C or 2C. To your point, more muscle or better goalie is also a difference....for the better 😉
