Sabres still look like they’re playing in slow motion. Slow skating, slow passing, slow decision making, etc.

At $7 million on a long-term deal, Cozens isn’t going anywhere unless it is for an aging vet on a bad contract. That said, I question whether he has put in the work in the off-season to get bigger and stronger. His body still looks skinny and maybe cheapskate Pegula doesn’t want to pay for a legit strength and conditioning coach. The so-called Workhorse from Whitehorse looks like an anemic lazy mule with hands of stone and afraid to act like a man.

Many years ago, Coach Ron Wilson of the Capitals called the Sabres a Chicken $hit team. He was right then and fast forward to today it still applies. I don’t know if there is a coach in all of professional sports who could get this soft and fragile roster to win a cup. Lindy may fail, but he is not the problem.

Perhaps, but my vindictive side says to do anything and everything that can be done to publicly embarrass Terry Pegula. I think he has a thin skin and I’d like for him to feel a serious “itch” from Sabre fandom. My alternative suggestion to SOS (which is excellent) is “Welcome to Hockey Heaven Hell”

There’s a Pink Floyd song called Comfortably Numb…..and that’s where I am starting to drift to…..numb to the never ending failure and disappointment of this team. I have no more expectations, no hopes, and a strong sense that this team has once again hit the “Wall”.
