I’ve been saying for years that the Zamboni drivers only need to clean the outer perimeter of the Sabres offensive zone during the intermissions…..time savings for them.

My argument is that we have higher priorities than keeping him and that we are wasting $8 million a year for a defender who is paid like a top 4, but can’t play defense. Maybe someday he will, but it may be a 15 to 20 year playoff drought by then.

Keep throwing out names and maybe you’ll finally get a hit. BTW Chychrun doesn’t make $8 million a year. Power can’t skate like Karlsson could. Reilly?…..yeah he’s paid a lot I guess, but I would not be advocating having him on our roster either.

Less than 20 SOG’s for both teams combined so far. About as exciting as watching a soccer game.

Too many low hockey IQ players that GMKA has assembled here. I don’t think being young is an excuse for some of the poor decision making…..they’ve played hockey long enough to know better.

Top 4 D should play the PK IMHO. This team has a first line center deficiency and a second line C as well. Maybe TNT plays wing on a first line, but Cozens isn’t a 2C. We need a top 6 center right now more than a young soft development project that cannot defend (making $8 million)

I don’t recall even a sniff of a scoring chance that period.

The Bruins look for somebody to hit. The Sabres play like they’re in an Ice Capades show.

This team could use a whole truckload of Lume deodorant and they would still stink (it’s not you!)

Once again nobody takes the body in front of our net…..just standing there watching the Bruins hack away for the lead. Hockey is a physical game, but unfortunately nobody on the Sabres knows this.

IMHO - having a daily call with the team owner is EXACTLY indicative of a meddlesome boss.

Reduce the “defensive responsibilities” of two of your top 4 defensemen? So are you saying they should be on the bottom 6 pair? That sounds more knucklehead then trading one of them.

Sure….if you think Sabre fandom can wait another 2 years for this $hitshow to turnaround. IMHO - changes cannot wait that long and we need to acquire (not develop) top 6 talent that is higher quality than what we already have. Maybe under normal circumstances, we can wait….but this situation is so bad that there isn’t enough patience in all of Erie county (and beyond) to wait and hope our talent can develop.

Sounds simple enough….but I cannot see Pegula being willing to do this. My gut feeling is that he is and always will be a meddler, thus preventing him from being able to trust others to achieve what you describe above. I agree with you that it is how it SHOULD be done, but Pegula can’t help hemself.

Power as the main piece. I'd be happy to see them unload that horrible contract. Throw in a prospect such as Rosen or even Kulich. Östlund is a prospect we need to keep because he may be the closest thing we have to a natural center/playmaker.

So who is the lesser of these 3 evils: Bryson, Gilbert or Joki (in your opinion)?

Every player on every team knows this….and probably any future NHL players in juniors and College. A change of bad culture may require a whole generation to detoxify itself….at least in the case with the Sabres.

Yes, total and complete national humiliation is the only hope now. Let’s hope Chicago doesn’t disappoint us. Any team that has Buffalo on the schedule in the next month does NOT want to be the team that loses to the Sabres….as it would be a humiliation for them.
