History dictates that ex-Sabres do better when they leave, so that is concerning. However, I listened to a lot of outsider pundits who seem to think Cozens is a good center and a fighter….which he hasn’t shown all season.

I wanted him gone and I got my wish. That being said, he will do much better in Ottawa with the change of scenery and talent they have.

I might offer an alternative take…..my answer: Get through the day without making Terry Pegula upset, mad, nervous or uncomfortable in any way and who cares about the fan base. 😁

If they get a 1st for him, might this help the trade value of Jokiharju?

If true, I wish it was possible for the league to intervene and force Pegula to do something more substantive, whether new management or SELL.

My money is on the latter….GMKA may want him here, but JJP doesn’t….so Adams only wants guys who want to be in Buffalo.

After watching him closely tonight, I can't stand the sight of him anymore. Complete coward and showed zero interest to help Dahlin when our captain was getting roughed up twice. Strip the "A" off his sweater and sit him out. He is a complete waste of $7m per year and I'd love to see him gone tomorrow as GMKA's final action as GM (wishful thinking on my part to see them both gone).

I don't know enough myself, but I would be wondering if Schaefer knows how to actually play defense??? If yes, then my money is on Schaefer because I don't think Power will ever learn to be a good defender....in his own zone.

Perhaps, but sooner or later an RFA offer sheet tender will happen....why not one that impacts Buffalo? Remember, GMKA only wants players who want to be in BUffalo.

I have to believe part of the issue is that JJP has indicated to management that he won't resign with Buffalo (no matter what). I don't have any proof, just a feeling.

Listened to the post game interview with Cozens.....nauseating! One reporter kind of touched on the scrums and Cozens seemed to think the Sabres response was adequate....what a bunch of crap! Somebody should have asked him "Dylan - you were on the ice for the two scrums where your captain is getting roughed up by multiple Lightning players.....why were you just standing around with your finger up your a$$!" Getting rid of Cozens has now become my most desired outcome next to GMKA getting fired

I'd play Reimer at least 50% of the next 10 games. Let them take turns for a while and see who outplays who.

Owen Power -3, Byram -2.....they aren't good with each other. Dahlin and Muel are +2 by contrast. I'd put Power with Clifton personally.
