  1. Yes the team should have responded. The question I have is, "IF" there were any players willing to do so (debatable for sure), were they TOLD not to by RK or not? At that point, it was still a one-goal game....and given RK's lack of public emotion, I would not be surprised if he tried to keep their focus on the game vs. retaliating for Dahlin. I don't know...but I am wondering if he put the clamps on any payback....or is it just what we first thought....a bunch of spineless wimps?
  2. Maybe their real name should be the Buffalo Beauts.....but then again, the real Beauts might take offense and then beat the crap out of the boys.
  3. I agree with all this....and what is so pathetic is that all hope for this season is now lost and it's not even Thanksgiving yet!
  4. I fear it's a concussion plus.....whether it be broken nose or something else too.
  5. I hear Don Cherry might be available! ?
  6. He didn't play defense.
  7. My favorite of all time....Larry Playfair!!! Not that other guys on the team couldn't take care of themselves (Gare, etc.) but having a true heavyweight like #27 was maybe our best ever.
  8. Let's say its yet again another tank....so what will we do? Draft another group of soft fringe players who lack fire, grit and heart. Wash, rinse and repeat.
  9. Skinner trying to hit the back of the Tampa net in his own way tonight....unfortunately with his ass instead of the puck....that kind of night!
  10. Ralphie has Flick, Schwartz and Randy on his team while Tampa has Scut Farkus and Grover Dill. The Sabres lay there like a slug, it was their only defense. "Uncle, Uncle, Uncle!!! Pathetic!
  11. Maybe Ralphie should think about sending Jack to the locker room to be evaluated for a 'possible' injury....keep him in there the rest of the game. Let's not risk getting our best player hurt in this debacle...especially since nobody in white seems to have a pulse tonight.
  12. Yup! They can't wait for the next game against Buffalo to plot who they'll go after next....Jack? Sam? Maybe both....Buffalo won't do anything.
  13. Well that puts the icing on our special teams nightmare lately!
  14. Interesting that Scandella's penalty call was within a few feet of where Dahlin got elbowed... they don't seem to have any trouble seeing that part of the ice after all! @#$%^&!
  15. Maybe, but so did 2 Linesmen too then...are they not allowed to advise the refs of such infractions? I don't see how 4 sets of eyes can miss something so obvious. If they all missed it, then they should not be in the NHL.
  16. We stole two points in Florida yesterday. Even if we lose tonight, I'll still call it a good trip as long as SOMEBODY on this team shows some backbone and dishes out some punishment for Dahlin's hit. This team is too easy to play against, no fear whatsoever!
  17. I'd like to see Ralph blow a gasket with the refs here...not the worst thing to show a little emotion for an obvious missed call!
  18. Unfortunately, so has the PK. Must have been a package deal.....always better if you bundle!
  19. Because our D-men can't seem to keep the crease clear...whether because they aren't strong enough or being coached not to.
  20. Now would be a real nice time to break the special team's bad cycle....at least no Stamkos out there launching one-timers.
  21. Is there a league metric, factor or analytic for shooting WIDE? Buffalo may be tough to beat!
  22. Turn the clock back and change the equipment. Reduce the size and thickness of padding (remember old school shoulder pads?) and get rid of helmets. May have to tinker with the sticks as well to reduce mph on shots. Less armor to discourage the hitting and encourage more skating. Get rid of the instigator rule too Call Keller and Keller Seriously though, until the players themselves collectively agree that it is not acceptable, no rule change will completely and fairly address this problem.
  23. It depends on what lens you look through. If people want a two-way player and/or a more gritty type player, then no....Jack will never be elite. IMHO, he is an elite TALENT, meaning he can take over a game (when he wants go) with his gifts. Would I like to see him have a more constant motor....sure, but only elite players have the ability to take matters into their own hands to change a game....and he is legit. If Jack had more tools to work with and/or another scoring line to take the pressure off him, he'd already have 100+ seasons already and this would not be a question.
  24. I liked what I saw from him as well. I actually started thinking about a scenario where he was paired with Eichel and Skinner, where he could maybe bring some defensive ability to compliment the other two. Part of that thinking is still my own stubborn preference to see Eichel and Skinner back together.
  25. Can he play forward...is that the plan? (just kidding)
