It will go down even further when he publicly demands a trade. GMKA will have little trade leverage except taking another team's malcontent. Perhaps he can force somebody to take Skinner and his contract as part of a deal.

I thought Joki's game last night may have been the worst I've ever seen him play. I would sure like to see more of Borgen in the lineup even if some of the regulars are cleared to play.

If GMKA wants to make a real statement that he is truly in charge, then I would love to see him fire Ralph and find a way to sign Gallant. That would tell me that he isn't afraid to act like the boss and tell the players, fans and perhaps even inept ownership that he isn't fooling around and is taking his job seriously.

Maybe not the best of circumstances, but I would really like to see how Borgen performs.

I've been a Sabres fan since the late 70's and my top 3 blunders all fell under JBOT's watch: ROR trade #1 for sure, but I have a hard time deciding between #2 and #3. The Montour trade was one of them and the Skinner contract the other. All 3 moves collectively hurt us badly (and will continue to) while other teams that were once below the Sabres have or will leapfrog us.

I don't know if I agree. I see a lot of guys floating and too many 1 vs. 1 battles being lost. Whatever talents this team has is not being utilized in RK's "system". They don't look motivated and lack intensity....sorry, not seeing what you're seeing.

This is not a new problem though...how many times have other teams taken cheap shots at our players (including Eichel) with no credible "beat your ass" response? Our guys fold like wet noodles and went to the Casey Nelson school of toughness. I don't see evidence of anybody having an "I've got your back" attitude. Simmonds may have brought that for the short time he was there last season.

RK's vision is more obscured than Hutton's.

with this team, I'd settle for every other night...lack of energy every night is not acceptable for a coach who is supposedly the master motivator.

On the one hand, I've never felt Jack was the energizer bunny vs. say Crosby or McDavid. However, I do feel that he has another gear which I have not seen much of so far this early season. I am wondering if it is in his head or that he is playing injured.

If I paid money for tickets for this game, I'd ask Jack for a refund.
