Yup….good things can happen for those who try (unlike the Sabres). It probably doesn’t hurt that the Caps have a legendary super star on their team, which Buffalo lacks. Wow…..good luck with that!!!

IMHO - Of the 4, I think only 1 of them is actually a natural play-making center (Östlund).

But….if the Sabres refuse to get him a vet partner (which GMKA will fail to do), then your hope of helping him improve will never happen. Other players the Sabres discarded were already accomplished (Power is not). They also went to better teams who could complement their abilities. If Eichel, Samson, ROR, etc. were still on Buffalo….they would not have achieved the same level of success.

Me thinks McLeod was slated to play the 3C behind TNT and Cozens. Fast forward to today, I think they’ve tried him everywhere including the 1C and 4C. It’s the usual Buffalo strategy of throwing enough $hit on the wall in hopes something sticks. It’s mind boggling to think they still view Krebs so highly….now he’s what, a 2C? To me it still seems apparent that he’s playing so much because GMKA wants to somehow convince his critics that he won the Eichel trade.

With players who WANT to be there right? But wait, I thought the answer was ALREADY in the room?!?! 😁

Yup, and it gives me no hope for the future of this team. I've never seen an organization reward people for so little accomplished (as the Sabres do) Yes, but seriously....is this EVER going to happen?
