Regardless of whether he deserves it or not, I gotta think the Pegulas will strongly consider him for $ reasons. He'll be cheaper than a seasoned established HC and since he still has to pay Ralph another year, they'll be happy to justify Donny as the next HC going forward.

I gotta think that Risto enjoys playing with another "banger" next to him....hell, if Mattias becomes a regular partner, Risto might come back. I still remember him playing with Zadorov in his younger days and I really liked it!

In terms of who we could have selected otherwise, I say Zegras. He was tremendous at the world juniors...but I know that can be misleading. His game is different than Cozens, but IMHO he is highly skilled offensively.

I'm getting tired of hearing how "wonderful" Sidney is......would love to see someone on the Sabres lay him out (with a legal hit of course)....then again the refs would call a penalty if anybody breathes on him.
