  1. Perhaps....wondering if it also supports what we've been saying a long time....that there is no POHO role in the works and that GMKA is in charge.
  2. Yes, I like Beniers a lot and IMHO think his style of play is what this team (Buffalo) needs more of. Power is playing in the top pairing, which probably helps his draft status. That said, we already have a 1st overall LHD on our team and does Power make things more interesting there? If Benier's ankle is indeed broken, would GMKA even consider a trade down to somebody who wants Power and still give us the option to draft Benier in maybe the mid round 1 (assuming he falls due to injury)? Plus many other moving parts to consider in all this...Eichel, Sam, Risto, Expansion Draft, etc.
  3. Just when you might think the Sabres' luck was improving (lottery), then something like this happens to a potential #1 selection....Cursed again!
  4. Thanks....I like his game....could see him as an Adam's kind of guy and a nice compliment to Cozens as a new future core.
  5. In case I missed it...if Power goes 2nd, who do you see as #1.....Beniers?
  6. I would still like to have Marcus Foligno on our team. I don't necessarily think he is the lesser one in his family.
  7. Toronto getting closer to clutching defeat from the jars of victory!!!
  8. My odds are on Granato. As other teams fill their HC roles, the likes of Gallant, Boudreau, maybe Torts, etc. will get scooped up by other teams that are more attractive to these experienced HC's. Some may have ego's that think they're good enough to lead Buffalo out of the ashes, but I still don't think they're coming. It will be Granato by default....plus his price tag will be cheaper.
  9. He may be deflecting, but at the same time I find him easier to listen to and follow than former HCRK. Granato seems to be a good communicator vs. the intellectual BS artist that Krueger was.
  10. Yes, but wouldn't it have been even more interesting if Jack wore a Bruin's hat and Sam wore a Canuck's one!
  11. At some point I wish teams (including Buffalo here) show some backbone and say "you're under contract, we expect you to be a professional and fulfill your part of the contract....end of story)! The Sabres are going to get hosed on any deal, so do NOT make a deal and instead make this situation work and keep him on the team. I still don't want to see him traded even after the presser.
  12. I missed it....just reading comments now. I'd like to hear management's view before making any judgment. I'd like to see both Jack and Management to put on their big boy pants and figure out how to resolve their differences vs. some kind of public divorce where we the fans get screwed. I still want him on this team.
  13. I appreciate your optimism, but IMHO the Sabre's went from BUTT ugly under HCRK to putting lipstick on a pig under HCDG. GMKA still has a lot of work to do.
  14. Jack will be back as GMKA will find that he won't get much better than an ROR-type return and he's not stupid enough to repeat the worst trade in franchise history as did his predecessor.
  15. Nothing worse than a bad injury in a meaningless game loss. EDIT - looks like he's back out there!!! Good news
  16. Sorry, but disagree. He's played 36 games this season and is a +1 before tonight. No other D-man with > 30 games is even close to that.
  17. Have any of our defensemen done their jobs tonight? Feels like it's just a question of who sucked the least this game.
  18. Did Donny tell them to shoot more between periods?!?! Geez!
  19. Perhaps, but I wonder if he has not seen this kind of speed and movement (Pittsburgh) before....and still trying to adjust. Meanwhile the Sabres look slow tonight.
  20. Tenacious as well....stay's engaged on the puck vs. spinning away....seems like an GMKA kind of guy.
  21. Looks to me that Kaapanen fell by himself....no way that love tap on his toe caused him to fall.
