  1. This should have been an expectation already.....they're old enough to be doing serious strength training and should have been already. IMHO - the Buffalo Sabres country club atmosphere probably emphasized lowering their golf handicap and working on their tan lines during the off-season....instead of serious strength building and conditioning. Seems like this is yet another area of no accountability by the players and the organization.....ridiculous!
  2. IMHO - the lack of a backbone is not a new problem for this franchise. It’s been an issue for maybe decades now. In the Pegula era, we’ve never had a team with a “pack” mentality to aggressively protect their fellow teammates. GM failures JBOT and Howdy Doody Adams have acquired/drafted mostly soft players vs. those who have an edge or play a hard-nosed style naturally (one exception is Zack Benson). Yesterday’s win was not worth the additional damage to the team’s culture, which is already badly infected with failure and weakness.
  3. After hearing the team’s post game responses, my statement to them is that culture is more important than a win today. No response to the hit means our culture sucks.
  4. Forgot to say….this team is still a bunch of weak, cowardly chicken $hits who don’t stick up for their teammates….maybe the thing I dislike most about the Sabres.
  5. Hope TNT is okay….he may miss some games….maybe most of February with the 4 country event.
  6. Sheldon Keene has one of those kinds of faces that I just want to slap into oblivion….just like Mike Vrabel.
  7. Muel getting too cute in his zone…just fire the puck down the ice
  8. Ugh, that’s no penalty…..Hughes doing his Patrick Mahommes imitation
  9. Ugh….i’m back to hating this team….no response to NJ shenanigans, especially the hit on TNT. Bad goal by UPL, no jump or intensity this period…..this is not a good hockey team and I question if they are even trying to win or playing not to lose.
  10. 2nd period effort seems lackadaisical, they need to wake up
  11. I know that’s a penalty….but I love what Dahlin did there to stand his ground
  12. I really like Tuch, but he ain’t a playmaker anymore than our other so-called centers. The organization as a whole really only has one prospect who might be a traditional playmaker….and that is Östlund IMHO.
  13. Alex got too cute there.....just fire it down the ice
  14. Nice give and go between 17 and 89 there..go to the net and good things can happen
  15. Use rewind if you have it....he made an errant pass attempt that did not connect and eventually ended up in a golden opportunity for Nashville. Second, I did NOT blame him for the 3rd goal....so you have an agenda to defend him no matter what as well!
  16. No, but he (Power) almost is directly responsible for what could have been the 4th goal.....turnover in neutral ice leading to the Preds scoring chance.
  17. Too much traffic in front of UPL.....NOBODY boxes out on this team, nobody!
  18. Too much celebrating with Razor before the game?!?!
  19. Ugh....Power once again failed to defend (neutralize the player in front) and the Preds score.
  20. I know Nashville is having a horrible season and they look terrible tonight....like they don't give a $hit. Did ROR lose his passion for the game (again?)
  21. If somehow Quinn can regain his shooting touch, having Kulich and Quinn shooting well could be really interesting!
  22. I hope the messaging about how Ray played and how his teammates felt safe having him with them will somehow resonate with this current team. The current team lacks somebody who has their back (aside from maybe Gilbert)...learn to have each other's back and show a mean streak when the situation calls for it.
  23. Anthems sung with an organ....that's the way it is supposed to be in a hockey game!!!
  24. If Pegula wants to create the illusion that he is spending enough to be competitive, he'll spend to the floor and then have GMKA serve as GM, asst. GM, assoc. GM, trainer, equipment manager and zamboni driver all rolled up into one job to save money elsewhere. He'll have Dunleavy doing both play-by-play and color (no Rob Ray), Duffer doing the host RV and analysis between periods (no more Marty) and play a recording for the pre-game national anthems (no more live singers). Finally, your beer and nachos at the game will require fans to fill out a bank loan request.
