  1. I think a high school defender would have handled that better than Dahlin....even pee-wees are taught to play the man, not the puck.
  2. Perhaps, but I would contend that Dahlin played better his rookie season than he has the last season or two.
  3. Perhaps, but isn't Dahlin supposed to be good enough to elevate the play of his linemates? Jack could make things happen all by himself without much other talent on the ice with him. Whatever happened to "shoot the puck"?!?!
  4. Vinnie WTF!!! Don't just stand there and watch the other guy....take him out!
  5. I'd like to see him play with a little more intensity. There are guys who have a lot less talent who seem to work harder and get the job done. He's big enough to take care of business in his end.
  6. Think I'll hit record on the DVR....I am not entertained.
  7. Brutal....the Kraken have their tentacles all over Buffalo.
  8. If he can bring some additional intensity, leadership and production to this team (like #17 Foligno), he may turn out to be the most important piece of this trade than Krebs (just like Foligno > Dale McCourt).
  9. I'll take two Tuch's please!!!
  10. So we add Krebs to our prospect pool...is this possibly the DEEPEST our prospect pool has been in the last 10 years? I'm not saying we have any generational talent in there, but with the number of forwards (Krebs, Cozens?, Quinn, JJP, Rosen, etc.) along with defense (Power, Samuelsson, Johnson, Laaksonen, etc) and UPL, Portillo, Levi. I wonder if we've had this many prospects in quite a while. I know we always have prospects and our draft luck has not been great for a long time, but for some reason the names above give me a little more hope for the future.
  11. Interesting about sending Krebs to Rochester. Wondering if that means they'll insert him between Quinn and JJP or leave Malone as is.
  12. Yes....if I recall correctly(?), Krebs was also considered a top 10 pick until he suffered an achilles injury before the draft....so he fell to the mid portion of the first round. Hopefully he and Cozens can gel together.
  13. So the 4th piece is a 3rd rounder in 2023....and we trade our 3rd rounder in 2023 back to them? Seems like we got only 3 pieces, maybe less than 3 actually assuming we end up higher in the draft order that year.
  14. Regardless of how many more years Eichel plays, none of them will be full seasons. Although talented, he is injury-prone. He may try to play through some of it, but his bad luck with staying healthy is a curse.
  15. ROR version 2 trade comparisons πŸ™‚
  16. I would want Tuch added as well....even with his injury.
  17. Sorry, but Dahlin simply is not 'wired' to defend himself or dish out any retaliation to others. You don't "develop" that tendency with age either...you're either born with it or you're SOL and hope that you're surrounded by others who will be there for you.
  18. Gee, I guess we're neighbors! I've lived next to you in Carmel for the last 30+ years 😁
  19. Miller and Bryson seemed to stop playing.
  20. For many years I've wanted the Sabres to play a more aggressive PK strategy. It finally seems to be happening with Granato....better late than never.
  21. Feelin like Linus gets a shutout tonight (hopefully now jinxed)
  22. Yep....we traded Nylander and ended up with Joki....sigh!
  23. Don't have ESPN+, so listening to this one. Hate to keep saying it, but Dan Dunleavy is really not very good at describing the action in a way where I can visualize it. I wish they could find somebody better.
  24. Any interest still in Barre-Boulet? https://www.tsn.ca/seattle-kraken-alex-barre-boulet-waivers-1.1709580
