  1. You’re right…..it’s not my money. But as most of us just ordinary sports fans, it’s not unreasonable to expect our team ownership and management to spend to the cap in order to maximize the chance of being competitive. Not every dollar spent is worth is, as in the case of young Power….but it should be spent as a reasonable expectation. And yes, I do favor discarding him now IF the return makes us better today vs. 3 years from now.
  2. Sorry, but you’re really not getting it…..paying $8 million for a defender who can’t defend (especially in tight games with a lead) is not a good situation. It’s that simple, but maybe it’s still too complicated for you.
  3. Sorry, but how many 22 year olds also make $8 million a year? Sure, we can all say GMKA is an idiot for making that deal. However, he needs to earn that $8 million, which he is not. How many $8 million dollar defensemen are out there who do NOT play when defending a 1 goal lead?
  4. So you don’t want an $8 million player out there when you are trying to protect a lead late in a game?!?! If we all know this, so does the league!!!
  5. The only thing they are in the hunt for is to finish within earshot of the wildcard spots and then try to again portray that they are so very close to greatness….just need another year. Wash, rinse and repeat and then to the “spin” cycle
  6. The only true accountability that exists in a Pegula organization is to do what Terry wants and/or don’t pi$$ him off. If you disagree or violate either of these two rules, then you are gone.
  7. He is still a defensive liability, especially in front of his own net. Bad decision making and absolutely zero aggression, which is not good for a top 4 defender. I’ll admit he made a nice offensive zone play, but that doesn’t offset his inability to shut down the opposition when trying to protect a lead.
  8. It’s only one game, but his line was by far the best one last night. He had the benefit of better wingers. I’d rather have McLeod playing center over Krebs.
  9. He seriously needs to bulk up and maybe workout in the off-season with Rasmus Risto’s training program. He still looks like a bean pole and he’ll never be a true power forward unless he decides to do more about his strength training.
  10. Down another forward for however long. Maybe Kozak gets another call up?
  11. So given the outcome of tonight’s game, how is your life doing?
  12. Hmmmm…..so you don’t think Adams told Ruff who his assistant coaches were going to be either?!?! Sorry, but between Pegula and Adams, I seriously wonder how much decision making authority Ruff has. Part of me thinks he has to relinquish to Appert plenty of his authority because Seth will otherwise run to Kevyn to tell him Lindy is being mean to him.
  13. Krebs maybe being the most overrated “favorite” of all of them. If Greenway was healthy, somebody else like NAK or Lafferty would be scratched in favor of Krebs. It’s even more hilarious that Krebs in on the PP unit. Adams is truly stupid.
  14. Sure….only 7 other teams between us and the Pens too!!! 🤮
  15. I hope Lindy (or HC Seth) keep the Power/Clifton and Muel/Joki combinations. Aside from the failed cover by Power on the tying goal, I thought the defense played better as a whole in their zone. I am personally a fan of the proper RH/LH pairings.
  16. I like it when players come in with more speed in the shootout
  17. Zucker didn’t score, but I like his reaction/emotion on the bench. He wanted it and is pi$$ed off. More Sabre players need to show that kind of intensity
  18. If this game goes to OT, then we’re screwed. The low hockey IQ will handicap the team (again).
  19. But he then lost the puck and sent the Caps going the other way to eventually score the tying goal
  20. So I guess Power is still learning. All he had to do was lift the Cap’s player’s stick or tie him up…..and he did neither
