  1. Maybe less of a reach than Rosen last year????
  2. Maybe the start of a run on the Russian players???
  3. I was thinking I saw him at 28 for Buffalo....maybe.
  4. Any comparison to Mitts? Faster or slower with the puck?
  5. How does his game compare to Marco Rossi from the 2020 draft? I like that he's a right-hander
  6. Asking for a friend....any opinions on how Savoie compares to Marco Rossi from a couple years ago?
  7. I was already wrong about Philly.....but I expect to hear Kasper's name next.
  8. Yes....I'd be shocked if Detroit does not take him right before us.
  9. I hate to ask this...but if we lost the last game of the year to Chicago in regulation, where would we be picking? 7th?
  10. I really don't know who the heck Meghan is, but her rankings don't show much respect for Savoie.
  11. Wright and Beniers...quite a center combo for the future!
  12. Philly will take Jiricek now. Edit...never mind...went with Gauthier....very surprised.
  13. I kind of prefer Catherine Tappen myself!
  14. Somebody really wants Wright now!
  15. All the blah...blah...blah makes me wish every team had Tim Murray announcing their picks.
  16. Slovakia, the new NHL top prospect factory!!!
  17. What's kind of hilarious is that Chicago fans are now also pissed at Matt Murray for not waiving his NMC. If the Murray trade with Buffalo happened, there's no 7OA pick to trade for DeBrincat. Any chance Buffalo makes a deal with Chicago now to get that 7OA pick along with an expensive contract in return for 16OA???
  18. Grit > Size. I also thought Tuch was 6'-4" (not 6'-2")?
  19. I might be WAY off (to the point of sounding ridiculous)......but some of his shooting and puck handling moves remind me a little of.....Eichel
  20. Kind of depressing actually when you look at the long-term futility of our draft history performance (not just 1st rounder, but 2nd and 3rd round picks as well). Looking at it from who was a pleasant surprise.....in the last 10 yrs, only Victor Olofsson stands out as a late pick who exceeded expectations. Linus was a 6th rounder, maybe not a bad pick but he's no longer with us anyway.
  21. Nothing against Victor, but I am not convinced he is a lot more that one-dimensional still. I don't see his game translating well for playoff style hockey. If he was a few years younger, I could more open to a longer term, but I believe his salary needs to be a non-factor after two more seasons when our young core need new deals.
  22. Seems to me that the Sabres have signed UFA's to one year deals in abundance though. Some might be keepers, but most have moved on. If you statement is qualified by "high quality", then yes...that thins the herd.
  23. Hmmm....with some of those proposed numbers for RHD's, part of me would consider trying to keep Miller around another year or two....but he may not want to have anything to do with that! 😀
  24. So if we ignore the 7th rounder coming back to us.....my general question is how is today's deal better than signing a $5 million unrestricted free agent for 1 year? I know there's a thought that the team doesn't want to impede our young talent's playing time next season, but having an asset (player) vs. Bishop at least means we get something for something (vs. nothing for something). I realize there is still more cap space for UFA's too
