  1. Crazy game....despite a 3 goal lead, I feel like we stole a point tonight.
  2. OK, I can breathe now.....
  3. AND....too many lost face-offs
  4. Can any of the new centers we drafted this year win faceoffs consistently? Our current center roster may never reach 50%
  5. Buckle up....it's going to be a rough 8 minutes.
  6. TNT's long and active stick is a great tactic on the PK....along with your point about him being dangerous if he gains possession and the opposing team's defender might be a forward playing point on the PP.
  7. One if the best PK's I've seen in a while....some good scoring chances.
  8. That doesn't look like deliberate knee on knee to me!
  9. He's not the "Great One" during intermissions, but I'd take him any day vs. listening to "Biz" - the Leaf's fan bozo.
  10. I believe he had Brady Tkachuk as his linemate....so yes, he looked pretty decent then!
  11. I like this one! Let's hope we see it more often, but then again it's Mule 🙂
  12. If I'm not mistaken, he's being paid somewhere around $5 million a year (3 year deal)....kind of expensive for so-so performance!
  13. Unfortunately, the majority of the 2017 Sabres draft was a bust. GM JBot's incompetence is showcased here with Mitts, UPL (IMHO is not up to the challenge of NHL or possibly even AHL caliber standards), Davidsson, Laaksonen, Pekar all collectively having minimal impact. Bryson is the only pick who has actually played somewhat and is a bottom 6 player at best.
  14. Agree...I'd like to see one or two more true "power" forwards on this roster who can finish their checks, win some 1-on-1 puck battles and not be afraid to go to the more meaty parts of the ice vs. playing a perimeter offense game.
  15. IMHO - Mitts needs a strong power forward to enhance his game. It may not be a great reference, but years ago when Casey played in the world juniors, I thought he played with Brady Tkachuk and they made a great line. Then again, who would not play better with a Tkachuk as a line mate.
  16. Yes, they are a young team, but what I can't get past is a lack of intensity. I would expect more emotion and desperation, but what we get is limp and lifeless efforts each game including tonight. I could excuse losses if the effort was there, but it's not.
  17. Well, maybe they hit fewer goal posts tonight?😝
  18. Has anybody ever heard GMKA say how LONG his "strategy" would take for Buffalo to become a playoff contender? I get that most of us here did not predict a playoff berth this season, but how many F'in seasons are we supposed to wait until we judge GMKA's plan as a success or failure?
  19. I'd like to see Cozens do that....IMHO, he is more of a power forward than center.
  20. Many years ago, Coach Ron Wilson referred to Buffalo as a "chicken $hit" team....very little has changed from whatever year he said that.
  21. Would have been nice if somebody went after Matthews for that hit on Mitts. First it might show a little character, second it would negate our PP! 🙂
  22. Toronto is a pretty soft team, yet they are out hitting Buffalo 14-9 so far. If there's any heart on this team, I don't see it. Maybe they need to play against somebody else who will completely abuse them...although even that may not inspire them.
  23. Rob is quoting Matt Ellis that they have to get the puck past the Leafs and down low. Not sure I can see our team being able to win those 1-on-1 battles to make that strategy work. We lack the personnel to win 1-on-1 battles.
  24. Once again zero quality scoring opportunities from 3 of 4 lines. PP is showing no strategy other than looking for a perfect pass for a 1-timer. No physical play anywhere on the ice. We are the absolute easiest team to play against in the entire league.
