What's possible vs. probable may be two different things. Possible is absolutely yes, probable suggests maybe no due to strength of upcoming schedule coupled with key injuries. What is also a factor is some regulars have gone completely "cold" during the last 10 games or more.

WIth or without R. Johnson, is there a weaker defense pipeline than ours?

Some reflection the morning after a tough loss.....not happy about the officiating (again), but I'm frankly more concerned about a couple things: 1. Shooting - not enough of it....take the shots when you have them and go to the net for possible rebounds. I get frustrated at the excessive passing, which often results in a turnover. 2. Inability to gain possession in our defensive zone. Collectively our boys seem to be struggling to win puck battles or create enough turnovers to neutralize the opposition's opportunities. IMHO - gotta fix these things if we hope to keep up with the other teams....who seem to be improving.

I am kicking myself for not turning off the sound earlier and just watching the game silently....it's less stressful listening to the ESPN amateur hour play by play

My "stupid-stition" is that newly acquired players who make an immediate big splash their first game or so do not work out longer term. So hopefully a less conspicuous first game is a good sign? 🙃

Yes, he's shown improvement in terms of being more of a 200 ft. player and going into more difficult places. Defensive game has been better as well. As long as he doesn't commit more brain farts like passing backwards to the opposition, I'm good with keeping him. I think he's still an RFA and is about half the cost of VO as well.
