  1. Joki's turnovers are seemingly getting worse.
  2. No offsides to erase that soft one....once again, UPL has to stop that (sigh!)
  3. Dahlin really needs Mule back....pairing with Joki is dangerous
  4. Coaching staff on the ball there with that challenge!
  5. Yes....more shooting from the point on the PP with a deflection in front
  6. Tuch needs to setup deeper in the slot on the PP there, he's positioned too high.
  7. Amazing how the Devils player managed to launch himself into the boards after Joki "nudged" him in the back....big time embellishment there!
  8. Any guesses on the TNT injury? Ribs? Something else?
  9. Part of the challenge of our situation is that we have multiple top prospects now, that other teams zero in on Savoie or Kulich, etc. If we offer someone like Rosen instead, the other team will scoff at this and walk away because they will only accept one of our blue chippers. On the other hand, if our pipeline was so weak that Rosen was truly our top prospect would some deals like Saros or maybe even Chychrun may have had a better chance of happening?
  10. If this is a signing intended for Rochester only....great! If there are no other defense signings planned, then I am disappointed.
  11. People may think I'm nuts, but IMHO UPL is already playing as well as he can, meaning I don't think he'll get much better (unless the team changes in front of him). On the other hand, I wonder that Comrie could actually improve more with more games, regardless of how the team plays in front of him). I won't go as far as to say Comrie will become anything above average nor that he is the answer to our needs going forward.
  12. On a different note - Is Pegula responsible for the condition of the arena or is that outside of his control (and spending)?
  13. Maybe someone like Arturs Irbe could help again....or someone like him.
  14. Maybe some changes with the assistant coaches would be in order. I'd like to see some that have stronger NHL coaching experience on their resumes.
  15. I agree. Levi does not seem "fragile" in his demeanor and has maybe been used to playing like a Hasek for Northeastern. Maybe his appearance can inspire the team to play a little better in front of him.
  16. Kyle is done.....but Z still has gas and plays the kind of game that is missing too much from the rest of the group. I'd like to keep Z and I think he would be fairly cheap too. Maybe he can retire as a Sabre
  17. I'd like to see some trades or signings to get a two or three players who can play a heavier game....hard forechecking, battling for puck possession, going to the front of the net, screening the goalie, etc. Ideally they should have speed and can backcheck well too.
  18. DG - still citing stress and anxiety, but maintaining they will get through this. Ugh....now saying to keep the game simple....how about learning to neutralize high quality scoring chances in your own zone (just my opinion). Ugh, now he's using the "trauma" word....unbelievable!!! I'm getting to the point I'd almost rather hear Ralph Kruger (joking)
  19. I may not be sympathetic enough. IMHO - all of these players and coaches have been competing for probably the majority of their lives. Yes, this is the NHL but any athlete who has performed has likely been in tight races, playoffs, pressure packed situations growing up. This team should therefore not be so "fragile" that they can't deal with some pressure and stress, so I don't want to hear Donny talk more about this being new and hard....as they should know how this feels already.
  20. So how will Donny try to sugar coat this one in the post game presser? "I like how we battled back and won the 3rd period" and/or this is a good way to have a good mindset going into our next game......blah, blah, etc.
  21. When's the last time we had a line with 100+ goals? Nice to see!
