Maybe Kevyn’s next tunnel vision project (besides loading up on RHD’s) is to obtain players with the same last name of former well known NHLers? After MacTavish, he can try to get a Domi, Bertuzzi or even better a Tkachuk! 😁 All joking aside….I would not mind seeing this trade scenario happen.

Robertson staying in Dallas?

Sabres sign Ryan McLeod to a 4 year extension
Carmel Corn replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Thanks for this info. Wondering if you have the time or ability to factor out PP points for any of these players. I am assuming McLeod has limited PP time and that his points are mainly even strength, but if other guys on this list had PP minutes, maybe their points totals reflect that? Maybe not, just wondering to myself. -
What do we think of the Sabres defence corps?
Carmel Corn replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Not trying to be an a$$, but can this group actually play DEFENSE well in our own zone? No doubt it is a highly talented group, but I wonder if it still has enough snarl, physicality and a defense first mentality. I hope they prove me wrong. Also, somebody please fire Wilford in a rocket off into the sun -
So by default would the timid ones be: Muel, Power, McLeod, Quinn, Kulich?, Bryson Uncertain to me (timid or pack runner): Byram, Timmins Hopefully the new names added to the pack guys will make a difference….as that group outnumbers the “timid” guys that I think are there.

Jesus I hope they don’t give Muel an “A” again next season. I would like to think in a Florida locker room, he would have been pitchforked for not responding to the aid of a teammate. By contrast in Buffalo, he get’s to keep a letter he never deserved in the first place (just like his contract).

The offseason so far - Are the Sabres better?
Carmel Corn replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
And with zero changes in the coaching staff, I have no faith the PP strategy will change. No new proven PP asst. coach on staff to change the strategy. Yet another failure by management to address a glaring need. -

IMHO - the PP is not going to be any better than last year unless Adams acquires a forward who can carry the puck into the zone and maintain control while the other players get in and in position. To my eye, PP zone entries have been terrible. -
Connor Timmins filed for arbitration; Bo Byram did not

Maybe he decided he didn’t like the view of KeyBank Center from his backyard so much after all. -
Chad D: expect a Byram trade at or around the draft
Carmel Corn replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Maybe the key is “thus far”, but my question is does his plan actually include becoming a playoff team (or is that just icing on cake on top of being thrifty)? Not getting too much worse won’t help Dahlin, TNT and Tuch want to stick around, but then again maybe the plan is to move them out for rebuild 4.0, 5.0 or whatever would be next. -

GMKA keeps talking about having a “plan”, but I for one have no idea what that is….and I suspect he doesn’t either. That or he isn’t willing to be truthful about it because he knows he would get roasted for it (ex. Being cheap). I would suspect the coaching staff is as well. -
To me….being a Sabres fan is like having a bad disease…with no cure in sight. Call it a long-term illness. Maybe it could be an addiction too, but I can’t see myself stopping cold turkey or following a different team instead.

Adams is trying to walk a fine line of spending vs. improved play. IMHO he thinks he’s done enough (so far) to improve the team (I personally don’t think so), but what I am wondering is if the team performs so-so or even poorly at the beginning of the season, how long will he take to try to make more changes? -
Chad D: expect a Byram trade at or around the draft
Carmel Corn replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I’ll go ahead and call him “Dumb”. A skilled and seasoned manager would not insult his team’s geographical area in reference to taxes and palm trees. It was a dumb statement that will stick to him like flies on $hit. -

IDK, I think Neighbours could turn out to be pretty good! I wouldn’t hate that trade. Besides….Kyrou ain’t coming here. -
Sabres sign Justin Danforth 2 years 1.8 million AAV
Carmel Corn replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Anybody see any similarity between Danforth’s game and Benson? I’m hoping for more offensive upside with Benson over time BTW -
Chad D: expect a Byram trade at or around the draft
Carmel Corn replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Yes…..Adams is simply using Tuch as an excuse for not spending to the cap. It’s not true for 2026, but Kevyn needs any excuse he can for not spending TP’s money. This team simply LIES about anything to justify it’s incompetence. -
Injury to Dahlin or Power is his only chance I guess….that said, I wouldn’t mind seeing the team try an old fashioned 3F 2D PP unit.

It’s hard to enjoy the good life when you do nothing but dumpster diving for your roster. -
He looks like somebody who has learned how to play checkers and now realizes he has no idea how to play chess. I haven’t seen the presser, but did anybody ask him why he thinks fans should give a $hit about this team when there was nothing done to create any optimism for next season?

Bridge deal….and then we’ll lose him eventually when he becomes a UFA.

Carmel Corn replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Only in Buffalo would a young prospect be anointed as a 1C where otherwise in properly managed teams it would be questionable that he is even a center and/or top 6 player (yet). -

And they will draft #8 once again....after two other teams jump them in the lottery. -
Rochester hasn't had a guy like this either (and could have used one)
