  1. I feel like Tinsel should be featured more on the team's social media. Then again, Tinsel's penchant for digging out and chewing on Lisa's running shoes (I'm referring to the Lisa who works in accounting) have made it difficult for Kevyn to bring the pooch to work.
  2. Gotcha. Lgr definitely made sort of a post-mortem post to the effect of "it was always Lindy" (YOU BROKE MY HEART, KEVYN). And I clearly failed to pick up what you were puttin' down earlier on. In my defence, my consumption here (like my fandom) has been spotty of late. (Also: Agreed that Terry was like "go get Lindy" as soon as the guy was fired.)
  3. You know I prefer to be thought of as smelly.
  4. Sorry. You don’t. I’m just bad at noticing and remembering. (It was Liger as well, though, right?) To be clear: Tinsel Adams is 💯 a product of my imagination. Such an important point.
  5. I understand folks not liking that Adams was real loose with the truth when he said he talked to "double digits" people in connection with this search for a HC. I think it's @LGR4GM who'd been saying it from the start: It was always Lindy. Always. I think it's clear that there was no "search," per se. Adams "spoke to" a dozen or so people (and, again, we will include his family's dog, Tinsel, in that count) about the vacancy. We may safely infer that he was asking people who were not candidates about their thoughts on people who were candidates. Moreover, it sounds like Adams, in speaking to those people, was looking for confirmation that he was poised to make a good hire in Ruff. That's all. "Hey, Danny [Briere]. It's Kevyn. ... Kevyn Adams ... the GM of the Buffalo Sabres. Yeah! Yeah. How ya doin'? Yeah, okay here. Oh, a little gloomy. Waiting on spring to finally arrive. ... Hey, listen, I need you to keep this between you and me, but I'm thinking about bringing Lindy back as our coach. What do you think. Good idea?"
  6. I saw a clip regarding the big RB the Bills took from Kentucky (Davis?) — parents imprisoned, so he was frequently homeless and then placed in foster care. If not for being really effing good at *something*, his life would likely have turned out very differently. But he had coaches and team parents who started to get involved in his life (informally fostering him, taking educational guardianship) — and that made a big difference. I wish the young man good fortune and great success!!
  7. ⬆️ big as it is, it doesn’t work.
  8. Or maybe Michael was more around when the Pegulas became owners of the Sabres. Compare with
  9. Thanks for the link. No pay wall, which was great. That's sad, but not surprising, to learn that Kim's been ruled legally incapacitated. Also - I saw that Laura's heavily involved in that JKLM venture - named for Jessica, Kelly, Laura, and Matthew. Is Terry's son Michael (Laura's fully biological sibling) not in the picture at all? I seem to recall him being around when the Pegulas became the owners of the Bills ...?
  10. it is bumming me out, for sure.
  11. Mogilny smoked like a 210 labourer. Okay - jokes are over. I too think that the HIT SOMEONE trope for our D-corps is overstated. Just be good.
  12. ftfy - 😝 he did reportedly give us the motto of "forecheck, backcheck, paycheck."
  13. Greater Boston is a very strange sports town. Up until fairly recently, the essential pecking order was (1) Sox, (2) Celtics, and (3) whichever of the Patriots or Bruins are playing better. But I think the combination of NFL being king and the Patriots being a dynasty twice-over has permanently altered that pecking order. Bruins are probably now securely the 4th most important sports team in that region.
  14. Yowza. The Bills should shop elsewhere for veteran receiver help.
  15. Jaguars released Zay Jones.
  16. Good post. This stuff here ☝ is especially weird (and bad).
  17. These are responsive to questions I had. The attractive fancy stat numbers cited by the OP don’t mean a lot if he was being sheltered by ozone starts and lower tier competition. And my questions/concerns make me dubious of this conclusion.
  18. Agree, and I am thinking it has to be a FA signing because he said it a few times in the midst of the draft that there's no trade coming through for a WR.
  19. As for who’s the Bills WR1, I think we’re more looking at “WR by committee,” the Dalton Kincaid show, and, incredibly, a renewed emphasis on the run (ugh).
  20. I really, really hope things work out with him as a Bill because he has “national treasure” potential. What a sketch.
  21. I love the autocorrect here
  22. Oof. I just looked at today’s lineup. It is objectively incompetent for Bettman to allow this slate to be coordinated such that McDavid is *still* in the 10:30 eastern game. Inexcusable.
  23. More than fair. I sound a bit like a NY Jets fan - seeing the Chiefs crush the Bills’ spirits again in January - “I’d rather be a Jets fan than a Bills fan.” Because NAH. Nonetheless. There’s something specific about this being the Leafs, Toronto.
  24. I’d rather be a Sabre fan than a Leaf fan right now. With the Sabres, I know what we’ve got. It’s pretty mid. With the Leafs, you go through this annual torture of thinking you have a team that can compete for the Cup, but … no, you don’t.
