    With this latest exciting chapter in Sabres history having reached its conclusion, somebody needs to get Evander Kane down to Chippewa again so we'll have something to talk about until training camp opens.

    It wasn't on his first shift but Girgensons scored in his first NHL game.

    He scores in spite of the presence of Matt Moulson, and faschings the goalie in the face on his way down. I like him already.

    I don't agree with Ray at all, Bylsma wasted his timeout.

    I took a look at the 2013-14 roster because I did not remember Connor Knapp playing in the NHL and yikes, you could make a lot of "remember this guy?" trivia questions out of that squad. Zenon Konopka, Cory Conacher, Linus Omark, Matt D'Agostini. Ville Leino's "Perfect Season."
