No matter whom the Sabres pick none of them will be playing in Buffalo in 2022. As a result I don't think Beniers' ankle injury should be a major factor in not drafting him. To me he's the best forward in the draft and in the discussion of the best. I take him over any D-man especially ones (see Power) that are dismissed as #1 Dmen because a lack of offensive playmaking.

The problem with LA as there's no guarantee their prospects be anything more. I want two top 6 forwards back for Jack. That's why think Minnesota a great team to look at as to me Fiala is great starting point since they seem to be strong at LW.

True see Keith Gretzky, Wayne Primeau, Marcus Foligno, Alex Nylander and those are just some of the lesser brothers the Sabres drafted I can think off the top of my head.

If we trade Eichel and Sam we're in trouble, personally I want both here unless one of them brings two top 6 NHL forwards. Not prospects but bonafide NHL talent.

He's the consensus top pick and am okay with him as could give us a #2C if Reinhart ends up elsewhere or shifts back to wing.

The only way I take Dumba is if we move Risto somewhere else. I would consider Fiala, Dumba, Boldy and Rossi more equal.

It's not, I've said it before if Eichel is shipped for more than prospects and picks we can likely convince Sam to stay maybe a good winger or two to help him out.

I've already seen several of my favorites since was so late in posting. Yet I'm from Kenmore so my favorites growing up were Bocce and Franco's. Yet as a teen spent a lot of time on Hertel so ended up liking Bob and John's La Hacienda. At work in my late 20s I was introduced to La Nova. Then I started dated a girl and now married to a girl from South Buffalo and when at her place we'd do Imperial. Now in my 40s we live in Tonawanda and our go to is Franco's.

I agree when trading Eichel you likely won't get his production from one singular player unless we unearth another Forsberg like Quebec/Colorado did in trading Lindros yet that's why you try and get a combination of players to make a more complete team. I mean look at Briere he did produce at a higher level until he came here. It's possible Erikkson-El puts it all together and becomes a 1C here if not we still have Reino that might be coming into his own and a developing Cozens. Yet Erikkson is better than Mittlestadt and Fiala is better than Okoposo. Boldy could be than Girgenson etc.

If we lose those them both we're in trouble so I go hard to sign Filip Forsberg.

I disagree, to me we need proven NHLers that can play on the first or second line. That's why I proposed my trade, toss in I wanted us to draft Boldy back in the day. Rossi is a question mark because of his size and hasn't shown anything in part because injury last season.

What would you propose we get instead?

If we got Boldy, Erickson-El and Fiala and a draft pick or two I'd be very very happy.

I think if we trade Eichel for some good players Reinhart will stay. I know everyone talks about LA as a good team to deal with but think a better team might be Minnesota. As most feel they need a center, yet seem rather strong at LW. I'd love to see if can get Fiala and Eriksson El.

I think if Eichel is moved it has to be for two proven players that at least under contract for 2 (or more seasons), 2 draft picks and a top 5 prospect. That way hopefully the two coming can have someone can relate too and with said contract status they can see how the team develops with them, if they bolt we can draft two replacements and safeguard a possible bust with a top end prospect too.
