I'd welcome a 2nd rounder and prospect Declan Chisholm from Winnipeg.
-
Boldy and Fiala are must gets if we trade with Minnesota, I think Kahkonen could be had too so long Seattle doesn't take him. Toss in a 1st rounder in 2021 and maybe another mid round pick on 2022.

I agree, I don't think Eichel demanded a trade and people misread what he was said there was a disconnect between him and the team. I think Eichel was just being honest with a question presented to him and the media ran with it that he wanted to be traded etc.

Who Will Seattle Draft From the Sabres?
The Jokeman replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Miller makes the most sense but Francis and Jbot have Skinner connections and maybe just maybe Adams can get a fellow friend do him a solid to take Skinner with some incentives. -
Who will have a better record this season: Sabres or Kraken?
The Jokeman replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
I like Bishop more than Price but take em both and ship one off to the highest bidder. -
Bjork is a solid 3rd liner which a need for this team.
-
We can still trade for one yet by protecting Ullmark he's showing the team does want him back. That said I'd talk to Seattle about taking Ben Bishop and offering them one of our three 2nd rounders for him.

UPL needs time in Rochester.
-
To me Miller the better play as he's a better player and could yield more if wanted to trade him for more assets.
-
This in kind of how we got Dominick Hasek as the then Winnipeg Jets didn't want to lose Stephane Beauregard in the expansion draft to Tampa or Ottawa so they shipped him to us for Ruutu, we than traded Beaurgard to Chicago for Hasek and the Blackhawks then shipped Beauregard to Winniped for Ruutu.

Why is asking for a potential top line center and more over valuing Eichel? Who is in his prime and already under contract etc. If a team wants value they have to give us at least the same value back if not more.

I want to keep both.

Yeah, no. -
Bold takes: opinions Sabrespace won’t agree with

There are some that think we should move him and keep guys like Girgenson, it just baffles my mind. -

To me Olofsson is a top 6 forward preferably on the 2nd line as see him as a 25 goal scorer not a 30-40. We need more guys like him to improve as a team aka low round picks making and contributing in the NHL. -

Jack Eichel will play for the Sabres in their season opener for the 2021-22 season. -

Las Vegas shows expansion teams can be good. -
Not many good options out there, https://www.spotrac.com/nhl/free-agents/goaltender/ufa/

That's the wisest thing to do unless we really get true value for Jack.

Monahan's production has been falling whereas Reinhart's has been ascending, am not 100% agreement that's a wise move for us.

Official Don Granato Named New Sabres Head Coach
The Jokeman replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
If we're truly rebuilding aka trading both Jack and Sam then taking Power makes little to no sense since we have no one in the piplline to be as good, to me you take Beniers. -
Official Don Granato Named New Sabres Head Coach
The Jokeman replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I'm just glad we didn't pick Tochet yet can't say happy or upset with Granato as we played better with him yet not sure if he good enough or he just didn't have enough talent to work with. -
I can't see Philly giving that much up for Jones but I'm not a big fan of his to begin with.

I think Minnesota right for the taking as they have a few vets to re-sign with little cap room to do so, I say take Fiala and another rostered player along with Boldy and another prospect for Jack. I don't like LA because don't see any NHL level players coming back.
