Tonight we'll get an up close look at a guy many folks thought the Sabres should've drafted ahead of Jack Quinn.... the can't miss Austrian center prospect Marco Rossi. Nevermind he's not in the NHL yet 😂. -

Why is Cozens out? DG sounded confident he'd be good to go. -

I chuckled, but have no idea what you mean by that. OK, I'll allow it. Comrie should be plenty motivated and knows their shooters... on the flip side, the shooters also know Comrie and will certainly try to exploit his weaknesses. -

How she got there doesn't matter. She's living proof that women can succeed as executives in professional sports. -

Confirmed... Comrie gets the nod. Setting him up to fail perhaps? -
McCabe is their best defenseman.... I understand their right to privacy in this situation, and I fully respect that. That said, she's not your everyday run-of-the-mill public figure. She's a pioneer in field of professional sports, featured in many prominent business journals and media outlets. An inspiration for young women who have similar aspirations. I pray she fully recovers, but the lack of any information what-so-ever is concerning. Do they provide an update at some point? Or do they just let her slowly fade from our memories and all those young women who look up to her? -
I don't believe any of this. KA's front office doesn't leak these activities to the press. TSN has been off base on these Sabres reports ever since KA took over.

What do we know at this point? -
Some kid named Hinostroza scored the game winner for Roch tonight. He might be a good one.
-
Still think he should be a regular in Buffalo. IMO he brings more to yhe table than guys like Girgensons and Mittlestadt... and if we're talking straight up on ice contribution then throw Okposo in their too. I thought he'd be a perfect linemate for Krebs, both can skate would put the defense on their heels. Whatever Kevyn.
-
If I'm Comrie I'm ***** pissed. He's been nothing but a good soldier, accepting a "conditioning" assignment to Roch due to KA's roster gymnastics. Now he's back (presumably 100% healthy) and isn't playing. He was brought in to compete for the starting spot, secondarily as a bridge between Anderson and UPL/Levi... however, through no fault of his own, that bridge has crumbled. His GAA/Sv% are nearly identical to UPL, he just hasn't had the same run support. That's not on him. He deserves a couple starts here.

Sounds like Terry's wallet remains focused on the Bills.

GDT: 1/23/2023 🏒 Buffalo Sabres @ Dallas Stars 8:30 pm ET, MSG & WGR
pi2000 replied to Doohicksie's topic in The Aud Club
Dallas coming off back-to-back shutouts of Arizona and LA haven't allowed a goal in over 120min. That said, they've given up +30 shots in each game, so hopefully thier luck runs out tonight. -
Bryson and Lyubushkin need to be upgraded. I'd move Jokiharju if the price was right. Okposo and Girgensons to a contender. And during the offseason I'd put together a package of Thompson, Power plus for Bedard.
-
The All-Star game is a complete joke. Go back to 5-on-5, East v West. Winner gets home ice advantage in the Cup Final. Let the fans vote for 5 players + 1 goalie each side, the remaining players selected by the press. Make the game no-check; let them wheel around like beer league.
-
He's definitely getting picked up. I'll guess Florida, Arizona, Chicago, Winnipeg, NYI, NYR, Caps, Kings, Stars, Hurricanes, Kraken, Wild, Toronto, Tampa, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Ducks, Avalanche, Calgary, Detroit, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Philly or Edmonton.

Ugh, a financial guy? Bad sign... typically they bring these guys in when they're preparing the team to be sold. Hope that's not the case here.
-
Ideally he wins it cleanly back. But again that depends largely on where the draw is, game situation, who's on the ice, etc... lots of factors. But the end game is to gain possession.
-
Has nothing to do with change of possession. Body checking a player with intent... the puck could be gone and you finish the check.. that's a hit. That said, it has to meet some subjective level of intensity.
-
The team that gains possession.
