  1. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter ยท 10m10 minutes ago Bills coaches are preparing with the belief that the game vs. Jets will be moved to Monday night in Detroit, Pittsburgh or Washington.
  2. Tim Graham twitter saying Detroit is a possible location for the game.
  3. Stern was playing one of his stand up bits from early in his career where he is talking about giving women spanish fly to take advantage of them. Creepy.
  4. Yep, the irrelevance this game carries in terms of the NFL standings should be reason enough alone to postpone it now without even considering the more important public safety concerns.
  5. Stay safe everyone with friends and family in the affected areas. Although I grew up in Hamburg all of my family moved to Williamsville / Amherst over the years so they are all thankfully in the clear this time. My parents are starting to get up there in age, so like weave I'd be pretty worried about them dealing with a storm like this.
  6. They have a picture of the crowd for the Canes-Flames CHL tilt last Monday night. Official attendance was 9,906. I'd say it was closer to 6k.
  7. I talked to my buddy this morning who lives in Hamburg right off Rt 5. He actually tried to make it to work in North Buffalo this morning but wisely ended up turning around and going home. Hamburg getting hammered as usual.
  8. Nice. I think the Drake scored the winner for the opposition. I hate the Drake.
  9. Wait..they actually had the names on the jerseys? Even more awesome. I watched on my phone so I couldn't see that level of detail.
  10. This is absoilutely fecking brilliant! How awesome would it have been if Puddy had his face painted? It seems like they only gave names to one line plus the goalie. They could have done the whole roster...Tim Whatley, Bob Saccamano, Newman, Babu, J. Peterman, Jackie Chiles etc..
  11. Another great seventeen song, and very likely the best fan made video of all time. NSFW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH7ogQldm14
  12. I thought the milk, bread and egg frenzy was unique to the south with an approaching storm. I don't ever recall seeing that when living in Buffalo.
  13. If there is much over 2-3" and the temp stays cold enough such that the roads can re-freeze overnight, then there's a good chance that a single snow event will get you several free days off.
  14. I'm just reading the forecast for WNY, and the they are calling for potential "thundersnow" in the snow band. This brings me right back to my last Buffalo snowstorm in 2000. I helped push car after car out of the lots at UB south campus, hearing that heavy thunder with the snow squalls was surreal. I'm sure most of the cars that I helped push out onto Bailey avenue that afternoon ended up stranded anyway. I was lucky and did make it home but only needed to get to Harlem road. You're in for a treat when you experience your first southern snow storm.
  15. I'm shocked that the season has taken a turn towards 7-9/6-10. Who woulda thunk it?
  16. Don't know about at the same time but in the early 90's I did some Bills/Sabres doubleheaders. One that I distinctly remember was the Bills hosted the Eagles in the game where Randall "eyes in the back of my head" Cunningham eluded Bruce in the end zone and threw the 99 yard TD bomb. Then later that night the Sabres hosted Detroit at the Aud.
  17. This is a perfect scenario to use my #1 out when the in laws visit. An afternoon trip to the hardware store that just happens to be close to a nice craft beer bar. My son is old enough now that I can take him with me and he knows the "don't tell mom" code applies.
  18. Like weave said it sounds like turkey vultures. I see large groups roosting on water towers and other structures near my house too. A few weeks ago I saw 15-20 of them tearing apart a deer carcass along the side of the road. Of course we also could be seeing the uptick in the local vulture population due to the CHL team that plays here too.
