So I was out at dinner with my wife and kids and another family last night as this all was going down. I watched the Eichel pick as we were wrapping up to leave. Then as we are walking out I see trade alert on the bottom of the screen and I figure the Coyotes had traded their pick, so I tell my wife I'd meet her at the car. When I saw the o'reilly trade come up on the screen I ummm...we'll I might have been a little loud and got a few looks from the patrons sitting at the bar. I gave them all (presumably Canes fans) a big "let's go Buffalo" and walked out.

Pumped for the season Eleven. I like it!

I haven't had it myself, but a friend told me Troegs has a pils out now that's even better than Victory Prima pils.

Love the nooner pils. It's a shame New Belgium isn't in WNY yet (I think), their shift lager and slow ride session ipa are awesome drink all day long and not bet bombed beers.

I still don't like the trade, but like others I acknowledge that now that with the tank over and a ZFG GM we should have expected these types of moves. More short term pain likely to come as we try to convert young assets into a contending roster.

If you go to the HF Sens boards, while the overriding sentiment is that they like the deal, there is a fair amount of pessimism about trading Lehner in the division and having it come back to haunt them.

He absolutely does according to my brother in law who is closely tied to the Sens.

I guess the market has been set by GMTM, so even though we got screwed he likely also screwed the other teams looking for goaltenders.

Even worse, Sens now likely have ammo to get into the top 10 and get a really high end prospect.

Until it's official I refuse to believe this is all there is to the deal.

My sens source knows nothing of the reported Lehner deal, but then again he's on the driving range right now too. Says he'd be surprised if they trade in division given what happened with Bishop.

Time to make it officially official and end the tank by making Happy Jack Eichel a Buffalo Sabre.

It was floated as an idea to get to #3 this year. Personally I think Reinhart is untouchable at this point, but anything is possible.

I drank box wine in college on more than a couple occasions when it was all that was available / cheapest. The depths I'd sink to for intoxicating beverages in those days knew no boundry.

Nice, IIRC correctly that restaurant patio has some those micro nozzled misters all around it to keep you cool on these insanely hot days. The Bulls did a great job with that ballpark, and I haven't been since they did the renovations before last season. That must have been a moon shot of a home run to hit that roof on the fly

We tanked two complete seasons and have Reinhart and Eichel to show for it. Two of the top three forwards from both drafts combined. I'm perfectly happy to see where those two horses take us.

After a nice and pleasant early spring, mother nature just flipped the switch onto an absolutely brutal June. It doesn't usually get like this until mid July into August.

I'm with Liger, I was under the impression that the major knock on the 2014 draft class was lacking depth into the first round and nothing more.
