  1. Yep. This one, if it happens, is on the players.
  2. Good on you for the positive attitude. I assume you're at zero weigh bearing at this point still? When I broke my tibial plateau I was three months of no weight bearing and when I finally got the go ahead for walking again it was surreal.
  3. The last time I went to a movie theater was this time last year with the wife and kids. Sat next to a kid who was coughing and sneezing constantly through the whole damn movie, all I could think was this kid has the damn flu. Mid week rolls around at work and I'm not feeling so hot, walk down to the lab, pull out a flu test, quick self NP swab and sure enough....... Flu A positive. :censored:
  4. My wife wanted to buy tickets for opening night and I told her I had no interest in going since I despise crowds. Just thinking of going to opening night for Star Wars with all the kooks in costume was enough to raise my blood pressure. So instead she somehow scored tickets at Cine Bistro where there are only 50 seats per theater...this I can get behind! CinéBistro is a world-class "dinner-and-a-movie" concept developed by Cobb Theatres. We offer a luxurious and pampering movie-going experience with amenities such as reserved seating in cozy, over-sized leather seats, in-theatre, full-service dining and state-of-the art movie. Enjoy Chef prepared American Bistro cuisine, fine wines and signature cocktails and full in-theatre service all while watching first run or independent film in an environment like no other. CinéBistro also features a contemporary yet comfortable bar and lounge with full menu offerings. The lounge is also available to guests not seeing a movie.
  5. I recommend this one.. Naked Statistics: Stripping the Dread from the Data
  6. And then it will be Cup parade planning time.
  7. I've got opening night tickets here.. http://cinebistro.com/waverly/ :nana:
  8. As confident as I was in the Sabres winning the shart last year, I'm equally as confident that they will come up short this year. Also, given the rule changes the shart of years past is merely a skidmark now.
  9. Were your feathers equally as ruffled with the way some referred to our PREVIOUS president? edit: And since it will like be perceived as such, this question is in no way an endorsement or in defense of our previous president. IMO it's a coin flip at this point as to whether our previous or current president is worse.
  10. Trump is brilliant. He's a friggin moron as a candidate, but he's brilliant. He's got everyone in a tizzy, supporters and detractors alike. Master manipulator.
  11. 2005/06 Tallinder before he broke his arm in game 1 against Carolina? Absolutely. His whole career trajectory changed after that and he was a shadow of the stud we saw in those playoffs.
  12. It's worse here in Carolina than it's ever been. Announced crowds of 10k are at most 5-6k.
  13. Good observation, many of our founding fathers, among them our first president, warned about the dangers of the two party system just as you have in this post. And yet here we are.
  14. Yep, and yet we the useful idiots keep right on electing them.
  15. It's probably a combination of all those things. All of these guys are in fantastic physical shape so it's not really conditioning on its own. As a former player I can see where Brad May is coming from, he said for the young kids its learning how to deal with the day in day out NHL grind, when and how you can conserve energy and when and how to dig deep all the while understanding the fine balance it takes so you don't succumb to the rigors of an NHL season. We all know Eichel by the numbers is a fantastic physical specimen, but he's clearing been struggling a bit of late out there.
  16. Yes, Brad May said in his post game comments that some players just look gassed out there with the NHL grind catching up to them, he didn't mention any players by name but I think he clearly meant Eichel as one.
  17. http://www.si.com/more-sports/2015/12/07/buffalo-bills-jim-kelly-thurman-thomas-bruce-smith-30-30-four-falls-buffalo It's still going to be tough to watch, but it will take me back to the time when I was intensely passionate about the Bills. Even still it took over a decade after those Super Bowl years for me to emotionally detach and declare no mas as a fan. I'm sure one day they will finally make it back to the playoffs... I mean it's gotta happen, right? But for me the fan experience can never be like those years...even if they win a Super Bowl.
  18. Howard began his broadcast yesterday with a tribute to Scott Weiland, who was a frequent guest on the show. http://youtu.be/GJDAlxYn1JU
  19. Ginn had two pretty bad wide open drops while I was watching yesterday.
  20. Not surprising on Peart, they did say R40 was essentially their farewell tour. Neil suffers from chronic tendinitis, to play drums the way he does with that condition really cant be much fun.
  21. Same here, we always stay at the Mirage. A potentially cheaper option that's centrally located on the strip would be Harrah's.
  22. I agree the Sabres are only likely to get better and are not going to clean house at the trade deadline. This could very well put them in the 80-85 point range when all is said and done. To me this would be a huge success and set the stage nicely for bigger things to come.
