I'll Percy Harvin it for a moment to chime in with how this thread every single day continues to validate Haidt's MFT. Carry on. http://www.wsj.com/articles/how-to-get-beyond-our-tribal-politics-1478271810

Anyone going to this tonight? I have the Blu Ray pre-ordered so will just watch in a few weeks at my backyard theater.

You still might have/had flu too. Getting a secondary pneumonia with influenza is quite common.

The Pegulas can hire me as a consultant to end the drought. 1.) Find a Tom Brady clone to play QB for the Bills. 2.) Wait for Brady to hit the wall/retire. 3.) Convince the NFL to realign so the Bills are no longer in the Pats* division Accomplish any one of those things and the Bills path to the playoffs goes from near impossible to a semi-reasonable expectation.

Rolling my easy 200 won on the bills doing what they do on the cowboys tonight.

Don't worry, the embarrassment eventually gives way to apathy.

Im about to win $200. Bet the crowd I'm watching with $100 ne would get a TD out of half on first drive. Then another $100 they would be in in 3 plays or less after the return. 200!

I never would have imagined that the Bills would come up small in this game.... Something CV would say without a hint of sarcasm circa 1989-1996.

i think it's usually just a generic term they use for either case, sometimes they might just have a bad cold caused by a non-influenza virus and they just call it flu. I've known two otherwise healthy people around my age (40-ish) who have been hospitalized with real respiratory influenza. I had it in my late 20's once and it was only then that I fully understood how people can die from it.
-
It certainly wouldn't hurt to get one, especially if you haven't had a test to confirm that you actually had influenza. If you have then the good news is that you will now have a high protective Ab titer against at least one of the circulating strains this flu season and are unlikely to become infected again if challenged with the same viral subtype/strain. Respiratory influenza is the only real "flu" and is usually by far the more dangerous illness to deal with, "stomach flu" is known medically as gastroenteritis.

Attention all NC folk: Wegmans is coming to Cary
Claude_Verret replied to Claude_Verret's topic in The Aud Club
Wegmans now has plans for Chapel Hill and Raleigh locations in addition to the Cary store. http://www.wral.com/wegmans-announces-plans-for-raleigh-location/16166260/ -
If within 48 hours of onset of symptoms you still have time to get Tamiflu on board, but you'll need to get a office test to confirm it's flu. I had flu a few years back but got on it right away and I was only down and out for maybe half a day.

Chicken wings is acceptable, but never ever Buffalo wings.

Well I switched back to the World Series at 3-0 figuring the Sabres had won and that I had happily lost the bet, but I forgot that the Sabres have that unique ability to lose in spectacular fashion. So I woke up this morning instead to being at 1595 instead of 1095.

This. I know many here watch way more hockey than I do, but until last night I've never seen an inadvertent whistle result in a goal ultimately being allowed. It's always been so sorry, my bad but no goal.
