    This gets right to the crux of the whole argument. What maximizes your total fan satisfaction quotient? If watching semi-###### hockey provides for a greater fan experience than complete and total ###### hockey, then as TrueBlue said, to each his own. I see absolutely no difference in the different shades of ###### in terms of entertainment value, but I do value ###### that stinks to high heaven in terms of hope for the future.

    I'm more disappointed that Dave is retiring, not because that I watch Late Night anymore, but because this likely means the end of the line for Letterman impersonator 'Evil Dave' on Stern. I can't post YouTube videos at work, but search Evil Dave & Stern...comedy gold.

    The fire drill we just had at work. It's 75, sunny and absolutely gorgeous outside. I wanted to just get in my car and leave for the day, but instead I'm back at my friggin desk.

    I think you're right that these types of moves are under consideration and likely to happen, but this team was historically bad this year. Even an improvement or upswing still puts us in the bottom five and in solid contention for the top pick.

    Well I might as well bring it up for the millionth time...what other method of team building guarantees anything? I'm interested to hear what it is so that we can trump all the other GM's and move on to that plan. Edit: And it isn't just about a top 5 pick, it's about the multitude of picks that DR/TM garnered in the first two rounds. So if you're right and an elite player is there hiding in the weeds, the Sabres have better chance of getting that guy, no?

    I'll go to the Panthers pre-season game, just because it's a good excuse to shoot over to Charlotte for a weekend and I'll also be at the home opener as well as it's an excuse to pub crawl the night before with all my old WNY friends. The Bills will not make the playoffs and I'll refuse to believe that they will until that last second ticks off the clock in a playoff clinching Bills win. The comical futility has just gone on for far too long for me to have even a smidgen of faith that a season can turn out well for the Bills.

    Something like this should almost be expected. That in in the year they finally decided to tank, a team that finishes where the Sabres typically do in the 8 to 12 range, like the Leafs this year, ends up winning the lottery. and for the all time classic mullet potential.

    I'm not as up on many of those names either. I do know that Tyler Wilson's stock fell dramatically as he was picked in like the 4th or 5th round by the Raiders and eventually cut, I'm not sure if anyone else picked him up.

    A lot of losing, fans complaining about losing with a roster incapable of winning and high draft picks.

    Thank you! It really doesn't matter if you're for the tank or against it, we've traveled too far down the road for anything that may be done this off season to be of consequence in the end.. This will be a bad / non-playoff team once again next season and we will be in the McDavid / top line talent hunt regardless.

    The FA's will come as complimentary role players when the time is right. You need to draft and develop your top line talent, preferably towards the top of round one, which we will finally begin doing this year. This is the plan and yes it will take some time.
