  1. Jordan Staal out 3-4 months. #tankwatch2015. http://www.wralsportsfan.com/canes-expect-jordan-staal-out-3-4-months/14017236/
  2. I still have a 36" WEGA in my bonus room upstairs. I've thought about replacing it many times, but then I remember how brutal it was to move in and I want no part of moving it out until it's absolutely necessary.
  3. i'll be there as well. I'm thinking about picking up tix to the Canes opener against the Isles for the very rare occasion where I'll be rooting for the Canes to kick off the Isles tank in grand fashion.
  4. If the long lost 12th man is truly back and performs like last week, then along with this talented defense the Ralph is once again one of the toughest road wins in the league. I was confident the Bills would win the first two games, but this one is a coin flip.....so what the hell 24-17 Bills.
  5. You know I'm coming around...screw the tank. We can just pick some top end talent off the top end talent tree, or have TM trade for some top 6 guys that other teams clearly don't want or need. Boom. Playoff run. <_< Darcy started us on this road and TM kicked it into high gear. There is no turning back.
  6. Any Barney Miller fans? I wish Netflix or Amazon carried those old episodes.
  7. Apparently the ghost chili has been knocked off it's throne as the worlds hottest pepper, that title now belongs to the Carolina Reaper. I had a sauce made with reaper peppers a few weeks ago, but it wasn't that crazy hot IMO. My neighbor once made those bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeno poppers on the grill, except he tossed a few habanero "sleepers" in there without telling a few of us (he only warned the women and children). Naturally I picked one of the sleepers right away.... man that was some serious pain.
  8. I'm not getting sucked in by the Bills until they are kneeling out the clock in a playoff clinching victory, but I will say that is as loud as I've heard that stadium since the Super Bowl years.
  9. How do you figure? From this tournament it's now clear to me that whatever youngsters make the team this year are now on board with the directive to go out there and help the team lose games on purpose each and every night. Tank on 2015! We are getting McDavid..,,GUARANTEED!!
  10. I think some of the longer tenured players do. Kyle Williams for example. The Buffalo natives Graham and Williams can obviously relate too.
  11. http://www.buffalone...two-bills-drive I'll be there this weekend, and was there for both of the two bolded games as well. I was this close to going to the 1980 game against the fish, but my parents took my brother instead.
  12. It's going to be hard to get stuff done at work today...flying to Buffalo tomorrow for our annual Saturday before home opener southtowns pub crawl and huge Bills game on Sunday. F'N fantastic.
  13. The highways in NC are a mix of laid back southern natives and aggressive NYC/NJ type drivers. It can be a volatile mix.
  14. I told PA to rejoice since it appears as though TP's Sabres meddling focus has become diluted now with the Bills ownership. I'm not sure that rises to trolling, but ok. I didn't mean to open up this can of worms again, trust me.
  15. So who will be at The Ralph this Sunday? I go to the home opener every year, but in recent years it's been more about keeping tradition alive than wanting to go the game itself. This one is obviously different...I'm really looking forward to Sunday.
  16. He won't be disappointed if the Canes decide to hand out souvenirs that can be turned into weapons again.
  17. Who says TP = Super Bowl outside of a very small minority of fans?. The elation here is predominantly over securing the teams future in Buffalo. I gotta tell you I'm shocked that you of all posters would find a way to wet blanket this news. Shocked.
  18. Yes, but those tactics only worked once. Sometimes one of my STH friends offers me a seat, and I offer to pay but they only let me buy them a few beers in return. Probably because they fear my pillaging skills. But most of the time my neighbor strong arms some work vendors to get us seats. No matter what you hear about hockey in the Triangle.....seats are never, ever hard to come by no matter how big the game.
  19. I go to every game the Sabres play here in Raleigh. The last time I had to pay for a ticket was Game one of the 2006 ECF.
