    Absolutely a make-up call. And, we didn't do anything with the ensuing power play. With Eichel, it almost seems like he was told to shoot less and pass more. Seems like he is trying hard to be a setup guy, which is fine... but there are times (like on the final power play) when he really should shoot the puck. He'll figure it out. Look at the career stats of almost any star NHL players and they normally show a jump in productivity from year 1 to year 2. Rookie year is all about learning the game at the highest level.

    ...such a typical "Buffalo sports" outcome. Despite the penalties, we were one second away from killing both off! Oof.

    I have a hard time recalling any game where two concurrent penalties giving a full 2 minute 5-on-3 was called in a one goal game with less than 5 minutes left. And, given how they called nothing until that point and given that refs tend to put their whistles away late in games, it just looked really suspicious. Saying they were "real" calls is fine. I guess they were. But, all game long they didn't call "real" penalties when they clearly could have. I'm a conspiracy theorist. I think the league favors the Original-6 teams (probably because they are huge markets). :flirt:

    We had no penalties called on us for the first 57 minutes of the game. Then three in the last 3 minutes immediately after we got the lead. ;)

    Why do we always go for the deke on the shootout? No one ever challenges the goalie with a shot.

    Generally when you just gave a team a full 5-on-3 you are a little less likely to call another one. Generally.

    I have Rangers tickets, but might not make it depending on travel (am flying into Nashville about 2 hours before game time). How many tickets do you need? 4?
