The shot that hit the crossbar just now for the Ducks was Jamie McGinn. He has looked good the whole series. I wouldn't hate to see him back in a Sabres uniform next season.

Was at the Preds - Ducks game last night plus games 3 & 4. Bridgestone Arena was crazy loud last night. I don't see the Preds winning in Anaheim, but strange things can happen in a game 7.

So, we have 5 third round picks in this draft? That is a ######-load. I expect a few to be packaged in order to move up.

...as long as profits are strong league-wide, it'll stay the same boring defensive game decided by a lucky bounce or two.

The Ducks are spending all of their time running around trying to hit, fight, cheap shot, slash... they seem to have forgotten that the objective is to score goals. 3-1 Preds after 2 periods.

Apparently since the Ducks lost Game 1 they decided the best way to win Game 2 is to play the dirties possible game.

Corey Perry is one hell of a dirty player.

Maybe we should have a different thread to discuss rules? Big win for the Preds last night over the Ducks in the late, late game. The Ducks had the best record in the West, but the Central Division was clearly stronger and the Ducks led the league in both PK and PP, but weren't terribly effective 5-on-5. This should be an interesting series.

I think there is something about the Avs being at the 50 player roster max. Vaguely remember hearing something like that. BTW - If Compher goes back to school, he just may "vesey" Colorado. If so, Murray will look like a genius for trading Compher.

David Poille did not make a deadline move this year because he was told by Vesey himself that he was signing with the Preds after his season ended. Poille expected Vesey to be on the second line wing right now. Then all of a sudden Vesey changed his mind, which means he loses hundreds of thousands by not being paid this season and extending his rookie contract another season. Financially, it makes exceedingly little sense to not sign now. Suffice to say, this situation isn't playing well with management down here. They've been told for four years by the kid that he was going to sign with the Preds after college. Honestly, I can't ever remember Poille being this mad. Vesey of course can be a free agent if he wants, but don't lie to the club that drafted you about your intentions. That is what isn't sitting well.

Vesey is going to get the bejesus beat out of him when he plays his first game down here in Nashville. I'm looking forward to it!
