Any way I look at it, the Pens made a dumb deal. Reaves is huge and annoying and can skate, but pretty bad at the game of hockey. If protecting Crosby is such an issue then why did the Pens just win back-to-back Cups? #strangedeal

Reaves is pretty much straight goon. He can skate and hit and agitate and fight, but is as unskilled as it gets. Great pick for the Preds.

I agree. Sam Bennett couldn't do a pull up. Kid just played 2 full NHL seasons (63 points) before his 21st birthday.

Kid can really fly. The league is going to speed and skill over size and grit. The Sabres gotta get on board with that. I like the Mittelstadt pick.

Carrier and Ullmark are dime-a-dozen players. Folks are over-valuing them if they think they're in any way indispensable. Ennis is worth keeping because he has sauce... and drinks chocolate milk with little kids... ;)

Nice trade. Honestly, we're in a better position than just about any team in the league right now, since we have far less talent (easier decision on which players to protect) than most teams.
