    I like what the Bills are doing. I liked their draft this year and like that they stockpiled picks for next year's draft. At least they seem to have a plan. The Sabres don't really have an identity. It isn't clear what sort of team they're trying to build. It's just random collection of mis-matched pieces that don't fit together.

    I couldn't stand him the first time around. (I'm sure that is well documented in the archives of this board) He has no "nasty" to his game. Always non-physical Mr. Nice Guy.

    As I recall, I was just about the only guy on this board who wasn't "all in" on taking Reinhart #2 overall a few years ago. I always favored Draisaitl. Hindsight is 20/20, but it is hard to argue that Samson is a difference maker thus far (although to be fair it was a pretty weak draft).

    Other than Jack, this team has no identity. To me you can be a speed team or a heavy team... but what is this collection of guys? They're slow and they don't play physical. And, they're not terribly skilled (other than Jack). Just a bunch of guys who skate around and collect paychecks.

    I just think this roster is terrible. We have one "star" player in Jack. A few "good" players in guys like ROR and Kane. Then a bunch of non-difference makers. The top teams are chock full of talent all over the roster. We're just not even close. And, when we see half-assed effort like tonight, we have no chance.

    Thus far it appears he has made the team worse. 10 new guys on opening night and most appear to be average-to-lousy.

    That was bound to happen. When you give a team a dozen straight powerplays you're pretty much handing them a goal.

    This roster is probably worse than last year's roster. And, when the team plays will little effort and passion, it can get ugly.

    Our team just doesn't play hard. No effort. We don't have a lot of talent. So, we need to play gay porn hard to win games.

    From my perspective he has always been lazy in his own zone. He certainly never lays out for pucks or to stop 2-on-1s. IMHO, fans tended not to notice it over the past few years since we were such a train wreck as a team and there were other whipping boys.

    IMHO, it's not that he gave the puck away, it is the lack of effort to bust ass to fix things after the giveaway. It was just a lazy play.

    Yet another half-effort from Risto on that goal against. For our #1 defenseman the guy makes a lot of lazy plays in his own zone.
