My wife always says "I want to ride on the zamboni between periods!"... so I spoiled her. It was a timed auction, which took some maneuvering to win. I bid with 5 seconds left, knowing that no one would have time to up their bid after mine posted. (ugh, goal for Florida)

A rare 2 goal lead. I like it! ...and I just won an auction for a zamboni ride between periods at an upcoming Nashville Predators game. :P

Few things annoy me more than a lack of gym etiquette. In some sense, those guys are announcing to the world they they are selfish individuals. Put your damned dumbbells back where they belong. Strip your plates from the bar when you're done. Carry a damned towel and use it. And, don't try to take up 5 pieces of equipment at once. Plus the "grunters" annoy me... and the guys who stare at themselves in the mirror and flex for 80% of the time they're in the gym annoy me... and the "belters" annoy me (guys who wear a weight belt to do kickbacks with the pink and purple weights)...

What is interesting is the Flames don't have enough cap space to accommodate O'Reilly without moving someone. So they'd have to move Iginla, JayBo (no one would want his contract), Kiprusoff, or perhaps some combination of lower paid guys.

Darcy could have offer sheeted O'Reilly. But, he is too busy riding buses around Florida.

I'd like to complain about high protein diets... "Diets high in protein, especially sulfur-containing amino acids have been demonstrated to significantly increase the odor of flatus."

A few random thoughts: I like how we now pressure the point men on the PK (although he is a whipping boy, Stafford did a nice job in this regard) Ted Danson has virtually eliminated our d-men pinching. As a result, we seem to give up far fewer odd man rushes against. I can't think of too many 2-on-1s and I don't recall a single breakaway against. Our forecheck looks different. Someone wiser than I can surely point out what the change is. But, something is different. More aggressive for sure. Putting Hecht back at wing and inserting Porter at center is a good move IMHO. I though Porter had a nice, if unspectacular, game. Pardy had a nice, if unspectacular, game. Move Leo already. Get whatever you can for him. His time with this team is up. We've been giving up 4 goals per game consistently, so to give up only 1 despite all of the Tampa power play chances is a big victory for this team.
