Looked like Vanek and Pommer used the same shootout move. They anticipated the goalie would go down in the butterfly and as soon as he did, they shot up over his left pad. Goalie's momentum is taking him downward, so no time to react back upward.
It looks like the Panthers have been on the power play for about the last period and a half. I get going into a defensive shell the last 5 or 10 minutes of a game, but to try to do it for 2/3 of the game... two full periods... seems crazy.
They were talking about this on NHL radio (XM), so I assume they've looked into the numbers. They were saying it could (finally) be time to move Iginla.
As I recall, the area is northwest of Ft. Lauderdale across the street from a swamp. It isn't close to where many people live. I think this is a similar problem to the situation in Phoenix (Glendale).
